It would be amazing if @andyburnham could sort this. The Primodos scandal is an absolute outrage and women like Marie Lyon have campaigned brilliantly for many years and been ignored by too many PMs and Health Secretaries.
Andy Burnham has said he will work to 'get justice' for the victims of the Primodos scandal.
Burnham paid tribute to campaigners, who have suffered harm due to the pregnancy test drug that was used between the 1950s and 1970s.

Tonight, Conservative MPs failed to back British farmers in Parliament.
The Liberal Democrats will keep fighting for farmers and pushing for the support our rural communities deserve.

Farmers have been left high and dry by the SFI shambles - a policy appallingly designed by the Conservatives and woefully implemented by Labour.
Today, @LibDems led a debate in Parliament calling for proper support for farmers to protect our environment AND produce food.
So BBC Three, Scotland and R4 Extra are going. We are watching the death by a thousand cuts of a great British institution.
From major sporting events, to national celebrations, the BBC has a unique ability to bring the country together. But, successive Governments have left our BBC in a state of managed decline.
@LibDems are calling for a permanent charter to end this cyclical uncertainty hanging over the BBC’s future and protect it for generations to come.
Once the BBC is gone, it is gone for good. It's time we made the choice to save it.

It’s a close call, but I think this could be worse for the arts than Lisa Nandy not going to a Prom…
We will cut the arts & culture budget by £1bn in order to fund 50,000 prison places. Keeping rapists and other dangerous offenders locked up is a priority for the @Conservatives. We will always put community safety first.
@RichmoMusic If you need help understanding the numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Always happy to talk you through.

I'm sorry but this is *weak*. It's not difficult to look through an electronic diary and accurately determine whether you've had meetings with certain organisations.

This report is absolutely chilling and terrifying for those of us of colour in this country.
That's why I will keep fighting every single day for tolerance, decency and valuing the dignity of every human.

Aaaaand still we don't have full transparency from the PM on his dealings with them 🤷
🚨 EXC - Manchester City were invited and took part in a government trade delegation to India *this week*, despite the Premier League charges.
Andy Burnham’s successor as mayor Bev Craig invited the club on the delegation with Jonathan Reynolds.

Smart glasses might be the latest tech trend, but covert recording and AI prompts raise serious questions about privacy, security and trust.
The same privacy risks exist in all public or work spaces. But Parliament needs to set the example.

The fight for better press regulation continues.
@anna4fes has secured a meeting with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, alongside @officialtulisa, after raising the issue in Parliament.
Lib Dems will keep pushing for Leveson’s recommendations to be implemented and a Part Two inquiry.

I hope this does see the end of talk about a leadership challenge. All would agree with the need to constantly improve the performance of the party and some of that means making changes, but simply replacing the leader isn't the answer.

Sagal isn't in the same Party as me but I welcome her to the House of Commons and stand with her against the vile, sexist, racist and Islamophobic abuse she's been receiving in recent weeks. @Sagal_AW

PM confirms the EU-UK summit will take place in Brussels on November 20
- will discuss trade deal on food and drink
- progress towards lining our energy systems
- a new youth experience scheme
- deeper co-operation on immigration
- raise concerns on Made in Europe
He says he'll work hard to secure a deal and says he believes "chances of doing so will be enhanced by being open to a discussion about our relationship with the EU in the longer-term"
"Our immediate priority is securing a successful outcome at the Summit. And I believe we should then set up a serious dialogue about the different options for our relationship in the long term"
Burnham goes onto say public opinion supports a pragmatic approach and adds: "if we got into this next phase, we will proceed with care and complete transparency"

Russian meddles in every election to promote its interests. It is still shocking to hear the PM saying that a foreign power interfered in the most consequential vote in modern British history.
It was never in Britain's interests to leave the EU but it was certainly in Putin's. – at Newhaven, England

Exactly. Developers miss the targets they agreed with Government, yet face no meaningful consequences.
Nothing has changed. It's business as usual and an unrelenting focus on the needs of industry.
And Labour insists the building safety crisis has not been deprioritised...
