We did not encounter any alligators or snakes, but we did see dolphins while visiting multiple NBS projects in Mobile, including the Lightning project. Thank you @NatureAlabama for showing me stunning Mobile Bay! @naturescapes30
Call for papers at #AAG2025 on NBS assemblages, addressing how NBS interact, with what outcomes, and for whom @SaraMeerow @drausendetroit @rioconpiedras

At the start of any new project or endeavour, there are plans and hopes.
What are your hopes for nature-based solutions and naturescapes?

The wetlands near Detroit provided the perfect place to reflect on my time here as it comes to an end, with head & heart full with everyone who took the time to share their stories. Feeling sad to leave while also longing for home & rest but above all grateful for my time here
These fireflies have made my evening walks so special, and the occasional smell of skunk alongside made it special in a different way (which I had mistaken for weed)

What do effective responses to the problems of climate and biodiversity entail? @harrietbulkeley, Michele Betsill, @anouk_fransen, and @StacyDVanDeveer discuss the need to see these domains as interlinked and complementary initiatives and interventions. doi.org/10.1093/oxrep/grad04…
On my way to my stay at Collegio dei Fiamminghi in Bologna, with a three month Interrail pass in my pocket. Looking forward to many more of these beautiful train views!
Brilliant and important paper:
''We argue that stories that fetishize local and indigenous knowledge across the world as static traditions of the past deny its agency in the present and future.''
