Please Everyone, I need your help.
From the accident, she has fractures in her hand, leg, and pelvic region. The doctor said the surgery will cost about ₦5 million. It is extensive and will be done in two phases.
First they will operate on her hand and leg. When she recovers from that, they will do the pelvic region.
It has been a painful experience. We have already spent so much on drugs and medications just to keep her stable this far. The pain is still there every day.
A lot of you have followed this from the day of the accident. You have seen the updates. You know what this has been like.
Please, if your heart can move you, even ₦1k, ₦2k, ₦5k, ₦10k, or ₦20k from you will help us. Every little bit carries weight right now.

If you were the one that did a HIT AND RUN at Ogudu express, Lagos yesterday evening, just know that it was my wife you hit.
I FORGIVE YOU, I really do.
Getting the call and the news was heartbreaking and caused tears but I FORGIVE YOU.
I FORGIVE YOU
I'm grateful to and for the Man that kept her conscious rendering first aid till the Ambulance got there.
He even stayed and helped till midnight (few minutes ago).
I'm so grateful 🙏

I said this last year! The biggest issue with our productivity is that the middle management layer is very thin. Those who should have been training up the next generation left, and rightly so, so now what you have is an overworked top, undervalued bottom, and a torn middle.

when everyone agrees that something is valuable, the opportunity to generate extraordinary returns is often already reduced.

Most people who use a payment product never think about what happens between tapping "Pay" and the money arriving.
Bolu Dada builds what you see. Tega Akpojiyovwi builds what makes it work. Together they are fixing African payments.

Serious motion 👏
And to think his product solves one of my biggest mundane tasks - ensuring our public documentation is up to date
Instantly connected to the use case 🔥
A few months ago, @stripe invited me to an interview.
I assumed it was a Zoom call and said yes.
Turns out the Stripe team flew 10,000+ km to Nigeria to film it. For one solo founder 🤯
We talked about stablecoins and building a global company from Nigeria on Stripe... which is a topic I have very strong opinions on.
Stripe has made this nothing but a joy! @FerndeskHQ was incorporated through Stripe Atlas, every customer payment lands via Stripe, and we use Stripe treasury for some of our banking.
I did not expect a payments company to care this much about a one-person business in Port Harcourt. Especially not one that moves almost two trillion dollars a year. But they flew out anyway!
As AI eats the boring parts of running my business, I want the time it gives back to fuel things like this. Showing up for customers in the ways no agent can.
Thanks again Stripe 🙏
I think this was my issue with the event. I came in very early.
A lot of empty sits around me, throughout almost all the sessions.
Only to get up to ease myself and saw a multitude of crowd at the entrance and inside the exhibition room and I was like Ha! 👀🤯
After the event, na so I just Dey see people wey make content wey I no even see for inside main hall 😩😭😂
But I totally had an amazing time
Thank You @DadaBen_ 🙏🏾

My Apple subscriptions died 2 months ago when my old card stopped working 😭
I found the @clevabanking app, completed my KYC, and got a virtual dollar card all in one night! 💳✨

Reading API docs is a valuable skill for non-engineering "folks"
Where I disagree is when it becomes a mechanism for policing engineers.
If a non technical team member occasionally reads the docs and discovers a capability the team missed, that's healthy XFN collaboration
But if non technical people constantly have to verify technical claims because they don't trust engineering, then the problem isn't documentation.
It's flat out an ownership, leadership, and culture issue.
Technical accountability should ultimately sit with engineering lead
Yes, and it's usually recommended 👌
You might not even need automatic failover initially. A cleaner pattern would be to build a payment abstraction layer (adapter) with a universal interface for all PSPs.
That way, you can plug in, swap out, or remove PSPs with minimal code
I was on my phone after the first half of the #GERCIV game until I heard a lady say:
"My name is David, and I know you're wondering why..."
Na so I look up 😅
Omo, that ad from @investbamboo is brilliant.
Unexpected & incredibly attention-grabbing. 👏🔥
