Playwright, spoken-word artist, and novelist Ntozake Shange contributed to a chorus of feminist voices in the 1970s. Born Paulette Williams, she took the name “Ntozake” (“she who comes into her own things”) “Shange” (“she who walks like a lion”) during college. #NMAAHCPoetrySlam

This tweet is for Dr. Ford. You put yourself through so much and I want you to know it wasn’t in vain. You started a movement and we’ll see it through. If they won’t listen to our voices, then they’ll listen to our vote.

Dr. Ford is not on trial. She is sitting here because she has the courage to come forward and because it was her “civic duty.” I believe her.

The fact that Louis, a comedian whose whole thing is plumbing the depths of his own psyche, apparently didn’t mention his most recent, famous news in his surprise set tells you all you need to know about his desire for “redemption,” right?

We need to keep pushing hard for answers from President Trump & @HHSGov about what will happen to the more than 2300 children already separated from their parents, like:
Are they safe?
Do their parents even know where they are?
And when will these families be reunited?
