I am so incredibly honored to be the recipient of the TN Excellence in STEM Leadership Award!
Huge congrats to Arthur Williams, winner of the 2025 TSIN Excellence in STEM Leadership Award! With 20+ years of innovation, he's transforming STEM education through hands-on learning, design thinking, & community partnerships. Thank you, Arthur! @theTSIN @hamcoschools
Getting started @theTSIN alongside @TNedu while @srsiskind gets us started with the keynote. Nice to hear that as educators we only have to be more engaging than electrocuting yourself. 😁

Getting some inspiring words on engaging our students using their passion and purpose from @JorgeDoesPBL at @theTSIN. He also spoke on how teachers can improve.

Baruti Kafele, @PrincipalKafele, speaking VOLUMES on teaching ALL Ss in our school comminuties & why it is so important to speak to the needs of each S & how we must be relatable to them. Ss attitudes towards school are the real achievement gals we must address.

In an AI session with @Ken_Patterson as he speaks on AI in education. “AI is not going to take your job. AI can’t teach your kids. But a person/teacher that uses AI is going to take your job.” Sounds like something @CoachStone12 might say!

Dr. Ivory Toldson, @toldson, of @howard, breaking down the 'humanity of numbers'. His analysis of large data sets, and the connection of this data to actual stories from students represented in that data, reminds all of us to remember that "numbers are people".

Great to be representing @hamcoschools attending the #BONDAcademy, celebrating the experiences and voices of black and Latino male educators. So encouraged to see senior level leadership here with @mjdrake2 and @zacbrown30, along with the #HCS induction team.

I wonder what this would like in our public schools like @hamcoschools if we approached our instruction like this. Our @VWeLabs have begun the process of empowering systematic creativity, but so much more needs to be done.

I agree with Julie. I prefer to focus on “what do I need to do to be the best version of myself I can be?” But the sentiment in the post is probably “don’t let others define you.” Which is probably good advice. But I’m thankful countless others have shaped me!

It’s a fine line- I think some employees takes this too far and it makes them hard to manage. I also think we have to know our boundaries in all of life to know what we are willing to take on. Sounds like a wishy washy answer but I think it depends on the person. – at White Pine, TN
So I encountered this quote for the first time here @NNSTOY. What are your thoughts on this, Twitter FAM? For my EDUs, how does this apply to teaching or supporting education?
