The 'politics of normalcy' is cynically brandished by some on the centre-right as proof that you can’t talk about culture, and can appeal only to the 'normies' through the safety of market-oriented language. But that’s of course disingenuous. You can do both if you do it well. This campaign didn’t give up on many—if any—of its conservative cultural principles. SOGI excess, DRIPA, drugs, crime, and chaos—that’s culture. The parents who would come by our campaign office (many of whom were first-generation Canadian success stories) who wanted to share their concerns would often talk about wanting to see a renewed pride in our country, who worried about the great statue and flag tear down and this all being rendered amorphous and devoid of shared identity. That’s culture.
But this right here is absolutely a key part of that 'politics of normalcy.' He and the people around him can walk and chew gum at the same time. It will continue to serve Premier-designate Doerkson well.

"it is clear that the B.C. RCMP believed in 2025 that safer supply drugs were being diverted to the black market; that organized gangs were redistributing these drugs across Canada; and that decriminalization and the availability of safer supply may have worsened the opioid crisis."

The justification from large corporations and the lobbying organizations that represent them as to why Canada needed to import hundreds of thousands of foreign workers was that Canadians were too lazy to work entry-level jobs.
Now they're trying to hire foreign workers for senior accountant positions.
So I guess Canadians are "too lazy" to become accountants now.
This was never about a job shortage. This has always been about suppressing Canadian wages.
Never forget and never minimize the scale of the betrayal.
KPMG is trying to hire 15 foreign accountants in downtown Toronto at $80,000+ each.
In four days, Mark Carney will let corporations hire high wage occupations from abroad without even trying to hire a Canadian first.
Toronto’s unemployment rate is sitting at 7% with youth unemployment at 17%. KPMG should be hiring and training Canadians, not getting a free pass to bypass local workers.
We can should have three 3 billion dollar hospitals, not one 10 billion dollar one. Canada needs to find a way to do infrastructure faster better and cheaper.
Technology and productivity should make these more efficient to build in the future, not less. Spending isnt the issue.

The original estimate for costs was $2.8B.
We can’t go on like this. How is there is little scrutiny over the exploding costs of infrastructure in Ontario?
Taxpayers are getting absolutely fleeced. At what point do have an inquiry?

When I was a teenager I worked in tourism and from American visitors I would be told about wildly foreign concepts like "carjackings" and "muggings." Like all American dysfunctions these last few years, we decided it was something we badly needed to import to Canada.
Five to Six Masked Men Armed With Handguns Wanted in Violent Carjacking in Clarington
A 58-year-old man was assaulted and robbed during an armed carjacking involving five to six masked suspects in Clarington.
Durham Regional Police say the incident occurred Thursday, October 29, 2026, at approximately 3 p.m. in the area of Clarington Concession Road 4 and Elliott Road.
The victim was driving in the area when an older-model black Dodge SUV pulled in front of his vehicle, forcing him to stop.
Five to six masked men then exited the SUV and approached the victim's vehicle. One suspect reached through an open window, unlocked the door and forcibly pulled the victim out.
The victim was assaulted before the suspects searched his pockets and stole his wallet and cellphone. Investigators say several of the suspects were armed with handguns.
The suspects then stole the victim's 2026 Nissan Rogue and fled the scene.
The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
Police describe the suspects as five to six males wearing face coverings. Two were dressed entirely in grey, while the remaining three to four were wearing all black.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage, surveillance video or information about the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Durham Regional Police East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 2765.
Now that the NDP are out there is going to be a treasure trove of sudden revelations of info that the government had hid, censored or suppressed from the public for political reasons.
Hopefully the media covers it.
British Columbia’s new conservative government has vowed to overhaul the province’s drug policies, but perhaps that should include an investigation into whether local RCMP leaders downplayed the dangers of “safer supply.”

Conservatives win when we focus our efforts on defeating our opponents, put an end to internal BS, and bring all of our constituent factions to the table.
The CPBC campaign had members of every leadership campaign in the warroom (in large numbers) and that made a difference.

@KPMG_Canada in Toronto is claiming they cannot not find Canadian workers to fill 15 accounting jobs.
Do you think there aren't 15 out of work Canadian accountants in Toronto? Mark Carney does. ⬇️

Marc Andreessen laying out exactly where Europe went wrong.
25 years ago, 15 of the top 50 tech companies in the world were European. Today it’s basically just Spotify. Europe spent decades regulating, taxing, and lecturing its way out of relevance in the industries that will define the next century.
America cannot afford to follow that path. Every call to overregulate AI, slow down data centers, or punish our builders is a step toward becoming the next Europe. President Trump understands this, and so should every policymaker in Washington.

The immigration policy for most of Canadian history is that you should never have to get to the point of having to explain to newcomers that murdering their daughter is not allowed.

I was in my colleges library today and they had copies of the citizenship test guide and literally on the third page it says Honor killings are not permitted in canada or genital mutilation. Imagine the type of people they are letting into canada for this to be in the guide.

Ursula von der Leyen leads the EU bureaucracy. They killed venture tech across Europe with red tape.
Now she’s announcing Canada can access 12 EU supercomputers.
That’s fine - but Canada does more trade with with a single US state - Texas - than all 26 EU nations combined - with more tech assets than all of Europe.
The EU visit is nice. But they’re an economic basket case.
It’s time to get a deal done with the USA.

Wow. Instead of investing in treatment and recovery, the Liberals used your tax dollars to hand out free drugs, including fentanyl, to those suffering with addiction.
The result? Since 2015, more than 50,000 Canadians have died from drug overdoses.
Enabling and perpetuating drug use is not the answer.
Instead, we must support compassionate treatment, recovery and rehabilitation.

I was actually really surprised to discover that the number of foreign workers in Canada is *higher than it's ever been.* All Carney has done is slow the intake (and even that's still pretty high).

More importantly, the number of asylum claimants in Canada is absolutely off the chain. Just five years ago, it was 160,000. It's now *500,000.* And these are the worst kinds of immigrants: The ones most likely to do crime, be on welfare, to hold extremist beliefs.

Amazing analysis of how mass Liberal immigration has driven wages down and rent up to profit corporate powerbrokers.
Now Carney wants even more mass immigration. He is not working for you.
Immigration numbers in Canada need to go down: conservative.ca/cpc/fix-cana…
The Canadian government's mass immigration policies of the last 10 years were highly regressive. Having seemingly learned nothing, they are dead set on turning back on the taps rather than letting the country heal.
On cue, the media has begun parroting the government's narrative and gaslighting anyone who disagrees. This suggests that they remain blissfully unaware that the Bank of Canada has written extensively about how (mass) immigration has negatively affected housing, rents, inflation, labour supply, wages, and productivity. So I've compiled an inexhaustive list to help these folks.
🏘️- Monetary Policy Report, October 2023

▶️"The strength in rent and other housing costs is partly due to strong housing demand, which is supported by rapid population growth, and a structural lack of housing supply"
🏘️- Staff Analytical Note, December 2023
🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u…
▶️"The rise in immigration is nonetheless contributing to pressures in inflation components linked to house prices, given that it is adding more to housing demand than to housing supply in the context of structural imbalances in the Canadian housing market."
🏘️ - Speech by Toni Gravelle, December 2023
🔗bankofcanada.ca/2023/12/econ…
▶️"When a country’s population is growing quickly, the supply of housing also needs to increase to avoid a worsening in affordability. Shortly after immigration began ramping up in 2015, Canada’s vacancy rate—a measure of how many apartments and houses there are available to rent or buy—started to fall."
🏘️ - Monetary Policy Report, January 2024
🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u…
▶️"A larger increase in newcomers than in the past is adding pressure to the structural supply constraint in housing. This has helped to push the overall housing vacancy rate to record lows, which has underpinned house prices and led to higher rents (Chart 3-A)."
🏘️ - Staff Analytical Note, April 2024
🔗 bankofcanada.ca/2024/04/staf…
▶️"Meanwhile, the composition of immigrants coming to Canada has changed considerably since 2015. Historically, growth of the immigrant population in Canada came mostly from permanent residents....While the wages of the earlier immigrants are closer to those of Canadian-born workers and have been increasing over time, those of non-permanent residents are much lower and have fallen over this period. Because real hourly wages are typically correlated with labour productivity, this piece of evidence is consistent with non-permanent residents working in less productive occupations."
🏘️ - Monetary Policy Report, July 2024
🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u…
▶️"The increase in housing demand from newcomers is being felt across all types of housing, but the largest initial impact tends to be in rental markets. This is because most newcomers start out as renters."
👨🌾 - Staff Analytical Note, May 2025
🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u…
▶️"if newcomers’ conditional wages reflect their labour productivity, the productive capacity of the Canadian economy grew less than it would have if recent newcomers had the same socio-economic characteristics as in the past."
▶️"However, this gain has been particularly acute for certain industries such as accommodation and food services, business, building and other support services, and retail trade. Labour productivity in these industries—which are comprised of a sizable share of lower-skilled occupations—is lower than the average in the business sector."
👨🌾 - Staff Analytical Note, May 2025
🔗bankofcanada.ca/2025/06/staf…
▶️"Youth—individuals 15–24 years of age—represent a significant portion of the overall increase in unemployment since the start of 2023. This is a larger share than during other periods of rising unemployment (Chart 5). This is partly due to the high number of immigrants, who are generally younger than the rest of the population."
👨🌾 - Speech by Nicolas Vincent, May 2026
🔗bankofcanada.ca/wp-content/u…
▶️“The labour market is particularly challenging for young people”: The 2022–24 influx of young newcomers “intensified competition in Canada for lower-skill and entry-level jobs”. Youth unemployment has risen above 14%, and he expects it may normalize now that immigration has been cut.
🏘️ - Staff Article, September 2026
