Today is Jafta Masemola's 92nd birthday. Contrary to the bias media and partisan history textbooks, Masemola was the longest serving prisoner on Robben Island. He was assassinated on 17 April 1990, six months after his release from prison, in what looked like a road accident.

John Nyathi Pokela, an Africanist, led hunger strikes of the political prisoners and won incrementally. He led the PAC and united its exiles, internal underground and prison leadership into one integrated entity. Died unexpectedly in July 1985. Long live, Cde Chairman!

INGWAVUMA FRONT: Following the arrests of leaders of the PAC and commanders of APLA in Eswatini, deportation orders were served on them. Some were deported to Canada and others to the UK. Joe Mkhwanazi (together with his wife and children) and Enoch Zulu were deported to the UK.

The late Comrade Oscar Malgas, pic below, was a staunch supporter of APLA underground units. He also served the mother body, the PAC, selflessly until the end of his life. He would generously help newly released cadres (ex-prisoners) with money or assist them to get jobs.
