#IStandWithJKRowling It's not hate to raise concerns about policies and cultural agendas and which can damage the lives of far more people than they serve, however well intentioned. It's time to speak out.
#IStandWithJKRowling How the direction of this issue ultimately denies the experiences - and therefore the rights - of half the world based on their distinct physical reality, as a "woman", and (even worse) how its debate attracts both censorship and abuse.
#IStandWithJKRowling and all the others - however they self identify - who are deeply sympathetic towards the experiences and rights of LGBTQ+ people but also deeply concerned about the direction of this issue.

If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.

Tonight I voted to support a Customs Union. I also supported Common Market 2.0. In order to have a confirmatory referendum we must agree a plan first. It’s our duty to work together before we put it back to the British people for a final say.
The British public needs to grow up and realise that if you vote for a party to do X, they might do Y, especially if they haven't got a majority - otherwise nothing happens. #brexit
