Even the catalogue was expensive.

Well said, Dinah! As a woman of many guises, CC, may one ask under what subcultural umbrella you sheltered under - if one at all? 😁☂️ @CollettWriter

Not that anybody really gives a shit, but below is the beginning of my record collection. I no longer buy vinyl or cd’s; all purchases are via the Apple ITunes library. It’ll just give you all a flavour of what floats my musical boat. We’ll go alphabetically…

Short-lived to put it mildly. Any band that has PHIL LYNOTT and GARY HOLTON amongst its personnel…

I know who’ll know: the great MICK WALL. Let’s ask him. Mick, dear chap, I trust you’re well, and that the current Mrs Wall is tendering to your every need. Cast your mind back, back, back. Did Phil and Gary ever gig together? I know they shared a flat once…

Another band who nearly made it. SECRET AFFAIR. Charismatic lead singer, several great songs, fanatical following. Unfortunately, TIME FOR ACTION and MY WORLD will only get you so far. Nice suits though.

THE CRACK. Lauded and applauded by Slade’s NODDY HOLDER in 1982 when they won 1982’s Battle of the Bands (surely time for a renaissance?). Sadly, the momentum was short-lived resulting in sporadic appearances at the occasional punk festival.
