Imagine a proper International/Origin window… State of Origin 3 match series Tonga v Samoa 3 match series England v NZ 3 match series PNG, Fiji, Lebanon, France & Cook Islands to play tests/mini series Same every year mid season. Build the rivalries. Would be HUGE.

Also… @nbcchicago is airing a story on the cleats tonight at 5 o’clock. Researchers at Rush University are testing the science behind them, and they told me all about their preliminary discoveries. I tested the cleats myself, as well!
#Bears Williams will continue to wear the Caddix cleats he wore in Week 6 against Atlanta even though the NFL fined him nearly $12,000. Says they are a “science-type cleat” adding “I’m focused on my health, I’m focused on being out there with my guys.”

The shoes are legal. The name on the side of them is not. Caleb Williams went out and bought a pair of cleats with his own money, from a company he has no deal with and makes nothing from, because of what is underneath them. They are made by a company called Caddix, and the part that matters is the studs. The founder, Jack Rasmussen, says they are built to release under what he calls injurious load. In plain words, the stud is supposed to let go of the grass before your knee does. That is aimed squarely at the injury that ends careers without anybody touching you. A man plants a foot, changes direction, and the foot stays while the rest of him turns. Caddix says on its own website that the shoes are designed to reduce the rotational force on the knees and ankles. So the quarterback of the Chicago Bears, the first overall pick in 2024, bought them himself and wore them against the Atlanta Falcons. The NFL fined him 11,941 dollars. Not for the cleats. The cleats are fine. He did not cover up the Caddix name on the outside of them, and league rules only let a player show a logo belonging to a company the NFL has a marketing deal with. Nike. Adidas. Under Armour. Then he wore them again the next week against New England without covering them. A second offense is 23,882 dollars, which is exactly double the first one. The league has not said yet whether that one is coming. So the rule is not about his knees. It is about whose name is allowed to be seen on a football field, and the answer is the names that pay for it. Caddix says it will cover the fine, and any more of them. Now be straight about the other side of this, because it is the whole reason you are reading about a shoe company you had never heard of yesterday. Caddix just got more attention from one fine than it could have bought. The company is new. The injury claims about those studs come from the people selling them, not from the league and not from a medical journal, and I cannot find anybody independent who has gone and tested them. Offering to pay the fine of a quarterback you have no contract with is a very good day at work for whoever runs their marketing. Both of those things can be true. The company is getting a windfall out of this. And a 24 year old is still paying out of pocket for equipment he believes keeps him on the field, and getting charged almost twelve thousand dollars for the crime of leaving the name visible. He has not stopped wearing them.

"I feel better than I did before." –@DaneMoehler What could have been a career-changing elbow injury didn’t keep @ClemsonBaseball pitcher Dane Moehler off the mound. Timothy Griffith, MD, (@doctbgriffith) performed a hybrid UCL reconstruction augmented with the InternalBrace™ technique to help Dane return to doing what he loves. Now back on the field, Dane says, “It feels like I have a brand new arm.” 💪 Read Dane's full #ArthrexAthlete story at arthrex.info/4hM9uf5. #Sponsored #Innovation The InternalBrace surgical technique is intended only to augment the primary repair/reconstruction by expanding the area of tissue approximation during the healing period and is not intended as a replacement for the native ligament. The InternalBrace technique is for use during soft tissue-to-bone fixation procedures and is not cleared for bone-to-bone fixation.

Shared my $VET scenario 3 months ago, and I still think this one is quietly setting itself up for a much bigger move. It hasn’t been the loudest coin on the timeline, but the structure is getting increasingly interesting. Nothing in this market is guaranteed, obviously. But if the broader market gives altcoins the right conditions, I think Q4 could be enormous for $VET. Still one of the sleepers I’m watching closely.
Bro, please wake up. We’ve been staring at this falling wedge for so long. Look at that giant green box of hope on the right. Just crawl into the box, $VET. Please.

This $VET setup is playing out better with each update. The structure keeps improving, and momentum is starting to build in the right direction. Still watching this one closely from here.

Just aped what looks like the official $XRP paired memecoin 🚀 Still under $1M market cap so actually has 50-100x potential SECcash - $SEC “The SEC is finally giving back XRP” About time a legitimate $XRP paired coin launched on StonkFun THIS IS EARLY AF at $500k 🚨 $ZCAT went to $150M market cap with the Zcash community behind it. $XRP has a community that is 100x larger than Zcash. If this is truly THE XRP memecoin for this meme-pair meta, the potential is much larger imo Holding the $SEC token allows you to earn $XRP with 3% from each transaction being paid out to holders The website looks slick and has a dashboard to track all the payouts and growth of the community - seems like something built to last This has all the looks of a $100M+ runner. If the XRP army gets behind it who knows. $1B+ in full bull? Risk to reward is excellent LFG 🚀 $SEC CA on SOL: 3oKUDGkNqbfKKrYNALjCX3kPsvDTjawnsf9v4dkneUC7

Agree 100%, i think alot of them can be avoided, i know its a contact sport and accidents can and will happen but i think most of them are from tackles from behind that the defender is trying to slow ruck speed, legs tackle from behind much safer but allows fast play the ball
I’ll be on my own here - this is why all those other hip drops should be punished heavily regardless of the injury severity on the end of it. The risk of career altering/ending injuries is so much higher during these tackles
