Okay, y'all. It is time to unveil my new tattoo. This has multiple meanings on both spiritual & fannish levels for me. So yes, you are seeing #OutlawQueen symbology here, as well as Avalonian. I am beyond ecstatic with this beauty, you have no idea. – at Grants Pass, OR

My favorite genre of internet video is an abuser finding out that the rest of the world isn’t scared of him.

An appeals court ruled that “The Pitt” is similar enough to “ER” to allow Michael Crichton’s widow to pursue a lawsuit over the Emmy-winning show. The appeals court did dismiss a claim against key creators of the show — Noah Wyle, John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill — finding no evidence that they were aware they could be violating Crichton’s contractual rights. “There are clear and numerous similarities between ‘The Pitt’ and ‘ER,” the court ruled, citing the emergency room setting, the fast pace, the medical jargon, the graphic depictions of injuries, and a young, incompetent doctor fresh from medical school. “We find the details here suffice for a prima facie case.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/the…

The AO3 situation is bringing to the surface a problem we’ve been sweeping under the rug for years: the double standards applied to fanfiction and fanart. An artist can draw whatever they want and post it on social media, benefiting from algorithmic favoritism because their content is quick and easy to consume (because people scroll through social media in a matter of seconds. If something takes even one extra minute of their time, they won’t bother) They can make money, to the point of building an actual career out of commissions (is that legal? Who knows… probably best not to look into it), and receive hundreds of comments or reposts because they deserve it and have worked hard to reach that level (absolutely true, and I agree. But so has anyone else who creates something. I didn’t learn how to sew cosplay costumes or write overnight. It took me just as much time and effort.) A fanfiction writer doesn’t get that. Social media platforms penalize: - External links to websites like AO3. - Walls of text (so no chapters published as posts) - Certain words or phrases. - Posts that don’t get immediately shared or commented on within the first few minutes after publication. (I could go on, but you get the point.) So, if we try to promote our work, we’re forced to commission artwork from artists (for a fee, see above) just to grab people’s attention with content that’s quick and easy to consume. If we dare to ask for comments or any kind of feedback (completely free and anonymous), we get insulted because “well, I don’t want to be OBLIGED to say what I think, or to give a like/kudos/heart/smoke signal or crop circle to that idiot who spent sleepless nights in front of a computer.” And if we ever dared to ask for even a single euro for our work (which nobody does, because we already know how that would end), just imagine the diplomatic incident that would cause. So why bother? And don’t come at me with the joy of creating. I’ve been writing novels on my computer for 25 years, and I’m perfectly happy leaving them right where they are rather than sharing them for free with ungrateful people. This whole situation is bringing one thing into focus: when all is said and done, AI isn’t really the problem.

Struggling with Act 3 in your screenwriting? Give your protagonist a plan. Attack Defend or Escape Maybe it's defend NYC. Maybe it's get to the airport before she takes off forever! Whatever it is, it's their last chance to solve their problem. It may look good at first, but the plan will fall apart. The protagonist will have to improvise. They make a choice they never would’ve made in Act 1 and triumph. Do all that and STILL surprise us and make us feel something? You've got an Act 3.

People see the reunion photos and think it was all Disney Channel magic, but forgot the adult cast was actively fighting directors behind the scenes to protect those kids. Kim Rhodes stopped directors from fat-shaming Dylan during puberty, and Phill Lewis personally mentored the boys in directing. They built a real family on set long before corporate Disney tried to play them
Dylan Sprouse reunited with his Suite Life of Zack & Cody co-star Phill Lewis and reflected on how the cast became like FAMILY after spending nearly 7 YEARS together, revealing how close they were ON and OFF set and comparing the experience to being on a college campus 🔥❤️ “I don’t think you can do a show for almost seven years like we did without having some element of that. You have to kind of be a family.”
