I can’t cast my ballot for James Talarico.
As a Hispanic American, I am thoroughly disgusted by his stances on immigration, gender surgeries on children, and the failure to condemn the rise of Islam in Texas. My family has contributed to the American story through hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the opportunities this nation promises. I am every bit as American as anyone else, and I will not tolerate my country and its heritage being destroyed.
I implore every eligible Texan to get out and vote. This election is about the kind of state and country we are prepared to defend—and the principles we refuse to surrender.

I just cast my ballot for James Talarico.
As a second-generation Indian American, I am thoroughly disgusted by the xenophobia, racial resentment, and increasingly brazen attacks on my identity. My family has contributed to the American story through hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the opportunities this nation promises. I am every bit as American as anyone else, and I will not tolerate being treated as a perpetual foreigner in the country I call home.
I implore every eligible Texan to get out and vote. This election is about the kind of state and country we are prepared to defend—and the principles we refuse to surrender.

Talarico’s positions on each of those topics:
Immigration - Talarico supports hiring additional Border Patrol agents, expanding surveillance technology, and targeting drug cartels and human traffickers.
Gender surgeries on children - Talarico has explicitly stated that he opposes gender-reassignment surgeries for minors and has voiced support for a national ban on gender reassignment surgeries for minors.
Religion - As a devout Christian, Talarico emphasizes interfaith solidarity, pluralism, and respect among Abrahamic religions.
They all seem pretty sensible stances to me. Seems you’re a partisan radical if you can’t agree with these.
“I am every bit as American as anyone else.”
So are Muslim Americans. You demand that your heritage be respected while treating their religion’s presence as something to condemn.
Hard work and sacrifice don’t give you ownership of America or the right to decide whose faith belongs here.
You may be as American as anyone else. You're definitely as bigoted as anyone else.
I think he’s going to be a great Senator! xitter.cf/JakeSherman/status/211…
You're going to vote for Paxton who partied with fugitives in Dubai that contribute to your campaign because they other guy didn't condemn Islam in your state?
Got it

Laws matter. Every law from the traffic laws to Immigration law, there is a material solidity stability to law. If Engineers did not obey laws, it would show up immediately. The liberal habit of waving aside laws is deeply disturbing. Human compassion is one thing but cheering the breaking of immigration laws is absurd.
I'm disgusted that you couldn't even be bothered to get Talarico's positions on those issues correct, yet you have the audacity to suggest that Ken Paxton and his "morals" represent some kind of ethical superiority. The irony is that the very principles and American heritage you claim to be defending are being undermined by the people you support.
