This is why: the entertainment of the west was one of its strongest assets. It was destroyed from within. This sphere did a great service in detailing that destruction. But the audience moved on from western products, to kdrama/anime/kpop/jpop etc. This sphere did not move on, and continued to tear apart shit like the Acolyte as if it still mattered. Cultural touchstones like Kpop Demon Hunters and Malfoid should have been points where the disconnect was reset, but it wasn’t. The result is your discussions come across as increasingly out of date and irrelevant. Malfoid should have been cause for victory celebration of everything this sphere has fought for for a decade, instead it looks to be a humiliating defeat, and it didn’t have to be this way

To be clear, MT is not "perfect." There is no such thing as a perfect story. Even the most highly rated and beloved stories, like Lord of the Rings, has significant flaws when you really dig in. But those who understand storytelling also understand that there are different ways to approach it.
Tolkein approaches storytelling from less of a logical perspective, and more of a philosophical perspective. So if you dig hard enough, you will find holes and problems with Tolkein's writing when examining it logically or seeking plot holes.
To understand good storytelling, you have to focus on what something *does right* and/or *does well* moreso than its flaws. And there are so many things that Mushoku Tensei does incredibly well, arguably far moreso than anything else in fiction.
For example, MT takes a deep dive into the human condition. Humanity's flawed/imperfect nature. It portrays its characters in a mature, honest, and believable way. They have their individual motivations, their own insecurities and problems, they are not immune to behaving selfishly, or sometimes doing things that they know is wrong.
And much like in the real world, there's not always going to be some magical, convenient comeuppance for every character whose behavior is wrong or flawed. Sometimes people *do* get away with doing bad shit. If you need to see a character go through some sort of punishment or retribution for their bad behaviors, you are a hypocrite... as you've no doubt done some bad shit yourself that you've gotten away with.
Rudeus as a character grows from within. Not because he's directly punished and forced to learn a lesson. Not because he sees direct consequences for his actions. But because he *wants to* grow and be a better person, because of his life experiences, his relationships, his hardships/the tragedies he's lived through, and aging wisdom.
There are so many things about MT that other stories do not hold a fucking candle to. In certain departments, it blows every other piece of storytelling out of the fucking water. You can write this shit on my grave for all I care, that's how confident I am when I say this: MT is one of the best adventure stories ever told... and many of the most popular/beloved anime don't hold a candle to it.
It is hilarious at the most fundamental bedrock level to see all these people noticing Karina for the first time, and being like, "she's really pretty!"

All foreign cultures are inferior to American culture. All of them. Every single one. Everyone knows this. It’s why they all try to come here and no one here wants to move to Guatemala or India.
Foreigners in America today are demonstrably less likely to assimilate than those who immigrated here 20, 50, or 100 years ago. Instead of leaving their languages and customs and pagan religions behind, they are coming here, building enclaves for their diasporas, and voting as ethnic blocs. This is the opposite of assimilation.
Because their cultures are objectively inferior, their refusal to assimilate therefore degrades American culture. Because American culture is objectively superior, this degradation makes America worse off. And when America is worse off, Americans are worse off.
Making America worse by importing inferior foreign culture is bad. Making Americans pay for the privilege of watching their country decline is bad. Replacing Americans in their own country is bad, because we are a people and this is our home and reducing our heritage and birthright to a mere global economic zone is bad.
Working to eradicate Americans and American culture is bad. Opposing the takeover of your own country and the degradation of the very culture that made your country the greatest country in the history is not only not racist, not xenophobic, not-whatever-dumb-gay-term-is-now-being-used-to-morally-extort-you-into-giving-away-your-country—it is the only natural response to what is being done to America.
Foreign culture is inferior to American culture, and we are all sick and tired of constantly being subjected to it while being told it’s not happening.
