Wow, this is going to be an absolute cluster...
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
Playing with a pure manual setup for espresso. Cafelat Robot, 1Zpresso K-Ultra grinder, and Zojirushi boiler. No pre-heating and under 2 minutes to pull a shot, competitive to high end cafe gear.
Re-watched WALL-E and totally forgot there is an AI alignment problem with conflicting directives, plus humans are functionally illiterate after over-reliance on AI. That movie was really 20 years ahead of its time.

We’ve been working on Live Migration of Tensorlake sandboxes, which lets us move sandboxes between machines with under 300ms of guest pause and stalled TCP connections. We retain all open TCP connections as sandboxes are migrated, with zero connection resets.
Running stateful sandboxes at scale often means low cluster utilization as workload patterns shift throughout the day. Today, we don’t defragment the cluster to release underutilized nodes.
Another problem with stateful sandboxes is that they can’t outgrow the available free resources (like RAM) on a tightly packed machine.
Live Migration will help reduce operational expenses as we continue to scale, and unlock features like guaranteed vertical scaling: moving sandboxes around the cluster, and hot-plugging agent sandboxes with more compute resources when they need it.
It’s been fun working on this problem. We went back to see what VMWare and other companies have published about live VM migration and incorporated it into our dataplane, VMM, and networking subsystems.
Here is an example of moving a sandbox with 1GB RAM and 10GB disk from one node to another within a region in our production cluster!
Just one of those days when you order a 420 LB chocolate tempering machine with a 330 lbs/hr output 🍫
Fascinating history of the NYC grid. Original plan was drafted in 1811 and took nearly 100 years to implement. Quirks like Broadway running diagonally date back to Native American trails, which leads to the iconic Flatiron. medium.com/@chazhutton/how-m…
Cool AI rendering of one of my favorite projects: a Centotaph in honor of Newton by Boullée of monumental scale
Good executives understand the details of their business. Great executives care about them. It's such a clear pattern across industries and levels. Giving a damn is a differentiator!
Pynchon wrote a musical in 1958 about a dystopian future where the IBM Master Machine runs the world, all of Texas is a datacenter, and locals fight the machine expansion. Fun read, and crazy parallels to AI narratives of today. shipwrecklibrary.com/the-mod…
I feel like I'm in Severance taking this harassment training module... At least in macrodata refinement they get a melon party

Excited to share this discussion with now-former @HashiCorp co-founder & CTO @armon about "The Wall-E Economy" a warning of dystopia brought on by a frictionless consumer society -- and there are takeaways for biz / tech leaders, too.

I’m concerned about the faustian trade of our free will for convenience. My @GeekWire op-ed on “The WALL-E Economy” and the dystopia we’re approaching with AI and smartphones, but can avoid with policy and behavior changes. geekwire.com/2026/opinion-th…
First day at @PrattInstitute campus as a student! Taking a month long intensive course in (physical) architecture. Just like software, I’ve always loved the blend of creativity and constraints. – at Manhattan, NY
