Are you a lawmaker in the US Congress? Have you failed to demand that @JordanGov be instructed to hand over @FBIMostWanted fugitive #AhlamTamimi to US law enforcement so she can be tried in Washington? If so, it’s your failure that defeats US justice and keeps this monster free.
Replying to @arnoldroth
I simply cannot comprehend the “sophisticated” figurings of lawmakers from both sides of Washington’s political divide who, for years, have resisted efforts - mainly by my wife and me - to get them to insist that appropriate US govt leverage be applied to Jordan, in particular by the @StateDept, so that Jordan is finally made to cease violating its 1995 treaty with the US.
The sole reason Jordan does this, right up to today, is to keep harboring a wildly popular, bragging Hamas fugitive terrorist, the savage who calls the 2001 @Sbarro massacre of Jewish children and of American citizens “my operation”.
Harboring is what Jordan does so that #AhlamTamimi evades trial in Washington on charges issued against her there in 2013.
To be brutally clear about how this works: If you serve in Congress and you are still not demanding that @JordanGov be instructed to hand Tamimi over to the waiting arms of US law enforcement in Jordan, then you are enabling, supporting and favoring this monster’s continued evasion of US justice.

Question to Ms @ShelleyGspan. Does the name #AhlamTamimi ring a bell?
President Trump's Board of Peace has appointed Shelley Greenspan, who served as the White House's Jewish community liaison during the Biden administration, to lead its outreach to Congress and the Washington think tank community. My report on @axios

There’s a long, sad history of Washington officials who somehow manage to dodge ever having to respond to questions about @FBIMostWanted fugitive and Jordanian celebrity, #AhlamTamimi.

Exactly. I support @arnoldroth all the way. I welcomed watching his interview in News24 a few weeks ago.
Wong is duplicitous and a disgrace. She can advocate and lecture about Zomi, who willingly entered a warzone and knew the risks. But Wong cannot speak one word for another Australian killed, Malki Roth. She ought to be ashamed of herself. If she had an ounce of self-worth, she would be lecturing about Ahlam Tamimi, a true wanted terrorist.
Shame @SenatorWong. What happened to you?

Your support for the Jewish People is so eloquently expressed. And seemingly heartfelt. You are the most skillful thespian duo since Hepburn and Tracy. Masters of performance art. Kudos. But Malki Roth's murderer must be extradited.
Not for the first time, I find it necessary - as the father of a child murdered in cold blood by Jordanian monster #AhlamTamimi who became a celebrity by doing it - to remind whoever sees this that Jordan breaches its US treaty to harbor her. And gets away with it.

🚨 Penny Wong met with Jordan’s Foreign Minister, and apparently the only issues they discussed were related to Israel. This woman is obsessed!
And the silence coming from her about the terrorist responsible for murdering Australian girl Malki Roth, who is walking freely in Jordan, and about the slaughter of Christians attending a funeral in Jordan over the weekend, should ring alarm bells for Australians.
My wife’s thread deserves your attention:

The US certainly rejects Jordan’s claim, made via a 2017 Jordanian court ruling, that Jordan’s 1995 extradition treaty with the US is “not enforceable and its application is not authorized”.
Jordan's reason? “Despite the fact that this treaty has been signed, it has not been approved by the Jordanian Parliament as mandated by the constitution.”
Got it? 22 years after the treaty went into effect, and after multiple extraditions to the US, Jordan lets itself off the hook in the Tamimi case because, its judges claim, Jordan itself had failed to comply with its own laws.
Could they have fixed that flaw? Yes, every day since 1995. Can they fix it now? Yes.
Does a failure to comply with one of its own laws invalidate an international treaty that had operated for 22 years? Experts say that under the law of treaties, the answer is no.
Jordan simply breaches its treaty and gets away with it.

The mainstream media don't highlight this sickening case and almost never report it. No one cares much for the Jordanian murderer but Congress and the US media actively suppress the case. Most people who know anything about it know because the victims are fighting for justice.

Thank you for the clarity of your assessment, @Grok. Care to offer suggestions about how and why Jordan keeps getting away with harboring Tamimi? On the face of it, this seems unlikely but it’s been a reality since at least 2017, right?

When Jordan claims that the treaty it signed with the US back in 1995 is invalid, are they right?
No.
That bogus treaty argument is the only basis on which Jordan justifies harboring the @Sbarro bomber. Why does Washington not compel Jordan to hand #AhlamTamimi over?

@Grok’s response will surprise those unaware of the shabby way Jordan conducts itself in relation to its obligation to extradite a Jordanian woman - Ahlam Tamimi, the sole female on the @FBIMostWanted terrorists list - to Washington.

There’s more to know about Jordan’s handling of the #AhlamTamimi case. Almost none of it is discussed in places where it would get real attention (e.g. in the US Congress or the mainstream American media). The silence is how Jordan evades accountability.

A call to action here.
“In this fight for justice, can anything be done in Australia? Yes. Public pressure is no substitute for diplomatic engagement. But it can help shape the terms of that engagement and make continued ambiguity more costly.”

Yes, Jordan has refused to extradite Ahlam Tamimi (FBI Most Wanted for the 2001 Sbarro bombing that killed US nationals). Its court ruled the 1995 treaty invalid; the US maintains it is valid. She remains free there.
US aid totals ~$34 billion since 1951, recently $1.5-1.65 billion yearly.
