Very sad to report the death of my good friend and research colleague; David Evans. Professor of Medical Physics here in Leicester. A giant in the field of medical ultrasound, transcranial Doppler and cerebral embolus interpretation. Best wishes to Christina, Jenny and Will.
I spent 5 years as a Medical Student in Aberdeen where (as a member of the University rugby club) we sang about the ‘Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen’ in the Kirkgate Pub. Never saw them once! Here they are in Leicester this evening!!! Awesome!!!
Very sorry to learn of the death of Hans Henning Eckstein. We met when I visited Jens Allenberg’s vascular unit in Heidelberg in 1990 on a BJS Travel Fellowship when I was a registrar in Edinburgh. . Henning looked after me and it was the start of a long friendship. RIP my friend
Have you also read the editorial that went with it?
