This one particular pothole kept me thoroughly entertained as I watched vehicles trying to negotiate their way around it, from the balcony of Bar Stormy while waiting on my date to arrive last weekend.

How @HYDTP expects commuters to capture traffic rule violaters to initiate a report
Looks like the city's traffic police misplaced their brains to their 'rear sides' this week.

Holy mother of democracy!
The dance of democracy in Andhra Pradesh! A woman’s nomination papers were snatched from her hands as AP police officers stood by, watching without intervening.

Still looking for my lower jaw that dropped and rolled away after that season 2 finale of The Diplomat 🙇 This will be one of those shows people will come around to discovering later and send straight to the top of Best Series lists.

VB-G RAM G scheme is a scam, at least in Beed. The scheme was being manipulated to add fake attendance, fake work sites. We traced 47 workers in 5 sites & found that they didnt know their name was listed. Crores are being siphoned off. Read the story here. scroll.in/article/1096483/wh…

.@CMC_Offcl @MC_Cyberabad, it's not even been 10 days since the critical KPHB-Hafeezpet stretch in front of Indu Fortune Fields got patch work done and it's come apart already - with water pooling around and the lack of streetlights here posing serious danger. Please address.
Ashish Garu, The issue has been brought to the attention of the concerned officer for necessary action.

Yeah this is also Hyderabad pretty much lately so don't look this way if you seek a better lifestyle, folks
Shifted out of Mumbai last week. Gradually realised the city will be in a perpetual state of construction since that's how contractors and in turn ministers will make money. So there'll always be that next project, next renovation to make your life tough. And if nothing else, they'll break an existing one completed just few years ago to make something bigger. Living in Mumbai constantly felt like life in hard mode. And with a baby in picture, wanted to have a little bit of greenery and space around. And eventually schools with space. Used to love the city when I came 9 years back from Delhi. But something shifted some years back, specially post lockdown. Incidentally I think Mumbai was good to live as long as 'Dilli se aaya hai kya?' used to be an insult. Now let's see..

Also overheard: Hyderabadi Bengalis taking pride in living in Viksit Bharat adjacent, suddenly coming to terms with extreme inflation in the markets, when their Gobindo Bhog rice purchases for dessert this festive season costs 260+/kilo instead of the usual 110-120.
Pandal-hopping across west Hyd today came with a generous side of WhatsApp University news bytes from folks waiting in line for bhog. Good to know Dhruv Rathee, Umar Khalid & Neha Bora are now part of mainstream conversations. The concocted backstories are something else though.

Korameenu / Murrel / Snakehead fish. Scored by yours truly.
Came across a fishmonger in a town called Bhanur b/w Mokila & Patancheru today evening and she asked me to bend into her drum-tank and catch my own fish, as she was pregnant. Ruined my new kurta in the process but boy did I provide a spectacle for my parents and others in line 🫡

no words that can describe the cruelty of @iitbombay administration today. using the might of the police to detain people, detain and misbehave with protesting students of iitb, allow a symbolic tribute in police presence only to then detain students and grieving parents after.

Which obscure/irrelevant figure are they going to recruit next to feign support for their regime? Ravi Kishan?? 😄😄 Oh wait 👀
Mumbai, Maharashtra: Model and Actress Poonam Pandey says, "The country is being made a joke of right now, what is currently happening? I mean, whoever wants can just get up and directly say, 'Prime Minister, resign.' I mean, what kind of talk is this? Is he someone from your neighbor? He is the Prime Minister of India. I mean, who is he, at least look at his name. This isn't how a country is run, What are you people even doing"

That barely let's it 'fly' over one average sized Indian pothole.
I hate to be the one to burst the Tesla bubble today, but the spectacular “flight” we witnessed at the Roadster reveal needs a little context. The car is carrying around 250kg of compressed air, plus the weight of the tanks, valves and thrusters needed to contain and release it. Based on the published figures, that gives it roughly 1.5–2 seconds of maximum thrust before the system needs to be refilled. In short, it's a gimmick.

Makes sense why the city has normalised one of the worst standards of living in the country. Choke-hold the citizens and only allow them to gasp out "Spirit of Mumbai!" while ensuring they drone on for their crony/capitalist overlords in return for little above nothing.
