Ahead of #WorldPolioDay, thank you, UAE 🇦🇪 , for your leadership to help us reach children everywhere.
Together, we will #EndPolio.
Strong and sustained health leadership from the #UnitedArabEmirates has been instrumental in our work to eradicate polio.
In Afghanistan and Pakistan, and during Gaza’s emergency response, the UAE’s support has helped protect millions of children from polio. Across the Eastern Mediterranean Region, this solidarity is bringing us closer to a #polio-free future.

BREAKING: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City, holding a banner from the skyscraper's antenna reading, "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace."
As of now it's unclear how the pair reached the top of the building as police work to get them down from the spire, 1,454 feet above the ground.

Grateful for the opportunity to engage with regional leaders at the Eastern #Africa Regional Global Health Security Summit 2026 at @AmrefUniversity convened by @AfricaCDC. Gathering brought together visionaries, policymakers & health leaders with one shared goal: Health Security
The summit reinforced the importance of health diplomacy, strong partnerships and the triple helix approach in strengthening health systems across our region.
I was pleased to share #Somalia’s experience, highlighting the success of our diaspora in improving health service delivery and establishing small-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing, alongside supporting hospitals, coordinating Somali Doctors in Diaspora and training health professionals.
Sustainable health security requires long-term vision, collective responsibility and meaningful collaboration.

Miss @vonderleyen.This is NOT just a humanitarian crisis. This is a catastrophy of apocalyptic proportions, possibly a genocide implemented through modern means of warfare that the EU must help to bring to a HALT.Palestinians arent disposable. They cant be put in tents in the Sinai
I discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza with President @AlsisiOfficial
I thanked Egypt for its a key role in providing and facilitating humanitarian aid to vulnerable Palestinians.
We agree on the principle of no forced displacement of Palestinians and a political horizon based on a two-state solution.
