I thought this was mostly a WordPress problem. Now Krown Themes is letting its Shopify dev team go. Imagine spending years building a business, then watching the platform you depend on give away more of what you sell. Great for the merchants. But "just adapt" sounds very different when you've got a team to pay and don't know what the next product is. You can pick a growing ecosystem and still lose your business inside it.
