Today the Australian Parliament achieved an excellent outcome for the future of Australian Research with the passage of the ARC Amendment Bill.
A rigorous ARC is in the national interest and the reforms are widely backed by the sector. We thank @JasonClareMP for driving this important reform agenda and the ARC Review Panel and @ProfSDodds @MargaretSheil @prof_hutchinson for their work.

Very pleased to see the swift passage of the ARC legislation curtailing the ability of the ministerial veto. We @auDASSH are pleased about this long overdue reform.

Some thoughts from me about why the Senate must pass the ARC legislation. World class research should be backed by a world class system of evaluation and assessment. Keeps the politics out. @auDASSH researchprofessionalnews.com…

Glad to contribute to this @abcnews story on the problems of the jobs ready graduate package. It needs to go. A fairer funding model that supports students to make up their own minds and allows the system to flourish is badly needed @auDASSH abc.net.au/news/2023-05-04/q…
