Happy 48th Birthday to the incredible Gwendoline Christie!
Good news for a change.
Imagine that. Harvard is reinventing a great books college. And the students do really want to put down the phones and pick the classics up.
“A lot of what we get out of this class is the human experience, and you can’t get that out of AI,” said Peggy Urdan, a government and neuroscience major from Lexington, Mass. “The only way to get anything out of this class is to not use AI.”

**It looked like a spaceship. And you didn't even need to plug it in to watch TV.**
In the early 1960s, Japan's Sharp introduced the TRP-801, a portable television that looked like something straight out of a science fiction movie.
With its striking red-and-cream body, built-in carrying handle, telescopic antennas, and unusual metal stand, it was a remarkable example of Space Age design.
But its most impressive feature was hidden inside.
The TRP-801 used transistor technology and featured a rechargeable battery, allowing people to watch television without being connected to a wall outlet. Despite its colorful exterior, the screen itself displayed only black-and-white images.
At a time when most televisions were bulky pieces of living-room furniture, the idea of carrying one around was remarkably futuristic.
More than six decades later, this little Japanese television still looks ahead of its time.
**Would you still want one of these in your home today?**

I never heard Obama call anyone fat, talk about penises or asses, lie about an election he lost, or threaten to punch a protester. I never watched him turn the presidency into a spectacle of insults & bizarre behavior.
God, I miss having a dignified president who made us proud.

WILDWOOD director Travis Knight says LAIKA will never use generative AI in its films.
“AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”
