Just buy the art. Everything needs to be an announcement. Everything is a meme. I’m tired. We are tired. I’ve done a lot. I’ve put artist on. I’ve been destroyed by artists and collectors. Ive been uplifted by them Too. I’ve made art that talks about real ish. OK. I’m blessed. Ish is hard but I’m still blessed. I’ve been in the crypto art space for five years now! Everyone loves to talk in a post. Meanwhile the space has decrease in collectors and artists. I’m still being told I don’t make art because it’s music or different? ( we will talk about this some more at another time) I don’t even need folks to agree with this post. I think I’m done with post talking about what needs to happen here. SOME OF YALL ARENT ABOUT THAT LIFE. How do we grow?! You ask! Ask Jesus not me. Because when regular participants try to tell yall , yall don’t listen anyway. No one is coming to save you. Artist can’t even be honest in their work. That’s an artists problem to be honest. If money has come to a point where you are afraid to take risk or have your work speak languages that make folks uncomfortable, you better re evaluate. But also not here for collectors to asks artists what’s really important making money or changing the system?! ARTIST CANT EAT !! Ain’t no one real got time for a question like that. Lastly, I don’t like the elitism people arrive at if they make a huge sale or sales, or have some liquidity to share to a few artists. Artists-I remember when some of yall couldn’t even get a repost or a like in 2022 crying about why your art isnt selling. Now you are posting fake philosophical post telling artists to ignore the noise and keep youre head down. How about no. How about we engage in dialogue with our head up and stop being so passive. How about you lead some of the conversations? Collectors- idk read the room. Not all collectors btw. Yall know who you are. (Or at least not mine I got some dope collectors for the most part lol) Oh and one more thing - you are bored of the art you are seeing because yall chose safe over uncomfortable and thus you are here. Also algo fatigue. Oh another thing - The only risk I see in crypto art is where folks decide what coin to keep their liquidity in. Anyway God bless.

will always be grateful for the friends made and love shown on my work here, I know I’m not active really anymore but it truly means and meant everything for anyone who even retweeted once

This space did incredible damage to my mental and love for my work that I spent the last 2-3 years rebuilding. And while that could leave a bad taste in the mouth of many, I remain grateful for all the good. Always.

Sometimes artists and collectors make comments that anyone who left our space was clearly only ever here for the money, not the art. That may be true for some, but I don't think that's actually true for a lot of people. I think many simply didn't find a way to participate in a way that was sustainable for day to day life. Even if you don't need to keep selling art to survive, how many times can you share the same pieces or new pieces without a sale before the process becomes too demoralizing to show up every day? In trad art practice, how many people are artists for a time, even get gallery representation, but their career doesn't grow enough and they have to pivot and spend most of their time on something other than making art? Collectors.. I think many of them didn't think through what collecting over a long period of time looks like. There's a case to be made for buying stuff early and just hodling what you have and waiting. That can work for a certain type of art. It works better for a collectible. But it's a poor way to nurture an ecosystem.

people celebrating that @superrare brought back Artist applications (right after the backlash from the AI post). You must forgot they never even looked at the old applications from 2021, artist were onboarded based on hype or for knowing someone. It was never the application.

A lot of artists didn’t stop creating. They just stopped trying to be visible. There’s a point where you realize the energy required to stay “present” is bigger than the energy needed to make the work 😔 and something in you decides the work still matters more
