Canada’s relationship with Türkiye carries increasing significance for our economic interests and our responsibilities as NATO Allies. In Ankara, I joined Prime Minister Carney and President Erdoğan to advance cooperation in areas central to both countries’ long-term prosperity and security.
I signed an Air Transport Agreement to facilitate travel and commercial exchange, alongside a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation. These agreements will advance our shared priorities of our Strategic Partnership Action Plan and strengthen our collective capacity to respond to an evolving security environment.
Article 1 of President Trump’s plan is clear: Gaza must be a deradicalized, terror-free zone that poses no threat to its neighbors.
Meanwhile, Hamas declares it is ready to repeat October 7th.
Anyone who cares about Gazans must demand Hamas be disarmed and removed from power.
Pressuring Israel while Hamas refuses to disarm only empowers terrorists, threatens Israeli security, and leaves Gazans under Hamas's brutal rule.

I had a good call with my friend, Cyprus Foreign Minister @ckombos.
We discussed the Turkish-Libyan maritime boundary agreement, which undermines the rights and interests of several countries in the Eastern Mediterranean.
We also discussed bilateral relations between Israel and Cyprus, as well as Israel’s relations with the European Union.
I will continue working to strengthen the close ties between Israel and Cyprus!

She arrived at #Auschwitz on 5 September 1944 in a transport of 1,019 Jews deported from #Westerbork. She was murdered in a gas chamber right after the selection.
