Day 1 in Limassol. The @eToro Pro Investor Summit opens this afternoon.
Here with three goals: test my convictions, find better tools for research and risk, and bring back what's useful for the portfolio.
Takeaways to follow.

Antonio Santiago retweeted
“Investing can get lonely and @etoro summits like this help us connect with the right brilliant minds to share things we’ve all been thinking about.”
Day 2 at the @etoro Pro Investor Summit: Yoni Assia with SpaceXAI - Nick Miller.
$SPCX focus: Starlink’s economics, launch scalability and how much future growth is already priced in.
Big ambitions. Same valuation discipline.

Day 1 at the @eToro Pro Investor Summit got me thinking about running my own research desk.
AI agents would sift through filings and draft updates for my copiers. My job: weigh the evidence, judge each business and decide how much to risk.
More tomorrow.

Checked in at the hotel in Limassol. After two flights from Lisbon via London, it’s good to see the Mediterranean, even in the dark. Looking forward to putting faces to familiar names at the @eToro Pro Investor Summit.

Lisbon → London → Cyprus.
Three convictions I’m bringing to the @eToro Pro Investor Summit:
I manage risk when I size a position.
I judge AI spending by the cash it generates.
I owe copiers a clear reason for every trade.
Let’s go! Vamos a isso!

TotalEnergies more than doubled Q3 profit to $ 9.1bn. For energy producers, expensive oil lifts earnings; for Portugal’s transport and tourism businesses, it raises costs. European exposure needs a sector breakdown: the same shock creates winners and squeezes margins.
Reddit warned Q4 daily unique visitors could fall by a low double-digit percentage. Advertising can grow through better monetisation, but a shrinking audience makes that harder to sustain. For $RDDT , revenue per user needs to be read alongside user retention.
$INTC beat quarterly adjusted earnings estimates, then guided Q4 revenue below expectations. Strong server demand cannot offset chips that cannot ship. My focus is on manufacturing execution: available capacity, reliable deliveries and margins after ramp-up costs.
AWS grew 39%, yet Amazon’s trailing 12-month free cash flow was negative $42.4bn. Demand is delivering revenue. The investment bill is arriving faster. For $AMZN , I want evidence that each new wave of capacity needs less capital per dollar of sales.
$HWM earnings: resilient aerospace demand, accelerating gas turbine orders and a stronger outlook. Shares rose as investors welcomed the update and expanded buybacks.
Howmet’s exposure to both aviation and power generation makes the long-term story compelling.
$18.6 bn in free cash flow looks impressive. But $MSFT says lower-than-planned capex partly reflects delayed capacity deliveries. Azure growth of 48% supports the demand thesis; the cash-flow beat needs that timing adjustment before I extrapolate it.
$ 677bn in commercial remaining performance obligations, up 73%. $MSFT has substantial contracted demand, but that is not revenue already earned. The useful follow-up is how quickly those commitments convert into sales, and what capacity investment they require.
7 February 2027: Christine Lagarde will leave the ECB early. For investors in Portugal, the succession matters through financing costs, the euro and bond spreads. A new president does not automatically mean cheaper mortgages or easier monetary policy.
Google Cloud revenue doubled, yet $GOOG reported $ 9.07bn of negative free cash flow. AI demand is clearly growing; funding that growth is the pressure point. Cloud margins, advertising resilience and the path back to positive cash generation.
$GOOG faces two tests tonight: whether AI strengthens Search economics, and whether Cloud growth justifies heavier investment. Usage is encouraging; revenue after serving costs is more revealing. I want evidence of monetisation, not just adoption.
For $MSFT tonight, an EPS beat alone won't settle the AI debate. I'm watching Azure growth alongside capex, depreciation and cloud margins. More capacity creates value when customer revenue grows fast enough to cover its full cost.
