As a father.
I promised myself that I would do everything in my power to make sure my kids / my family could never in their life say they âhad it bad growing upâ.
I pray that we all reach a point in life where our problems begin to feel lighter, our burdens slowly lift, and we finally find the peace weâve been searching for.
Find peace before you touch good money.
I wonât sit here and act like Iâve never felt that way too man. Hella times I caught myself saying, âYou know what, as long as the bills are paid, weâre good.â
There were so many days where I genuinely felt like I didnât need anything more than what I already had. And I wonât lie to you either, there were times I compared my life to the people around me, wondering why I couldnât have what they had. Feeling like I deserved that life too.
It wasnât until I was 26 years old when that shit really flipped for me, man. Iâm talking about hitting rock bottom. Being in such a dark place mentally that I genuinely thought about taking my own life. My daughter was four years old during this time of my life.
But through all that shit, I never gave up, brother.
Even on the days when nobody was watching. Even when it wouldâve been easier to just sweep everything under the rug, pretend I was okay, and keep living the same life.
I just kept showing up. Real life kept fighting.
I KEPT TRYING TO FIGURE SHIT OUT, even when I had no idea how things were going to turn out.
And I think thatâs what a lot of people donât understand, man. Sometimes the hardest part isnât getting to where you want to be. Itâs finding a reason to keep going when youâre nowhere near it.
I just couldnât fail as a father man. Shit be tough man.
