Lo saco a pasear un año más… 🌍 👀

Pues ahí va… 😬 ✈️
Certified: 🔟 The 737-10 has received FAA certification, marking a major milestone for Boeing and the development team that brought the final member of the 737 MAX family to this point. ✈️Strong fuel efficiency for denser markets ✈️Greater flexibility for airlines serving high-demand routes ✈️Commonality across the 737 MAX family Congratulations to #TeamBoeing and our partners who developed the 737-10 over many years, and guided it through extensive testing, evaluation and certification. Thank you to our customers who are building the future with the 737-10 and 737 MAX family. More: boeing.mediaroom.com/2026-10…

Tendría que probarlo, pero le veo bastantes pegas a bote pronto 😅
Touchscreen cockpits display units are here. The new Touchscreen Control Display Unit (TCDU), featuring an AMLCD screen, is now available for retrofit on the 737 MAX and NG, while also being rolled out on new MAX aircraft as an optional feature. Pilots will probably say: “I can’t stand touchscreens in the cockpit. There’s nothing wrong with the FMC we have. Give me my buttons.” Fair point. We used to say the same about cars—now most of us have adapted to touchscreens. But from a maintenance perspective? We actually love them. Usually, maintenance replace FMCs because of loss of tactile feedback from worn-out buttons. For dispatch, an inoperative FMC may be deactivated by opening and collaring its CB, but it must be replaced because it may affect ETOPS/EDTO operations. For the flight crew, when operating with one FMC inoperative, the FMC Source Select Switch is selected to the operational FMC (BOTH ON L or BOTH ON R) to accomplish all Flight Management Computing tasks.

What a plane! ✈️ 🤩
The 737 MAX 8 in particular has a bad rap but what happened to FlyDubai 1073 should give every traveler confidence in these planes. The Wall Street Journal reports the jet reached about Mach 0.96 in the dive, well past its maximum operating speed of Mach 0.82, then was hauled out at roughly 3g and still landed with a chunk of its rudder gone. The thing people need to keep in mind is that while Boeing's engineers know the certified envelope and the safety margins, what they don't have is a full-scale flight test of a complete 737 Max flown until it breaks apart. So the exact speed and duration at which this airplane would have become unrecoverable was always modeled and estimated, and no one really knows at what points the airframe just disintegrates. Boeing is not going to destroy a complete plane and sacrifice a test pilot in flight just to measure a number no airline will ever need. All this to say that this is the safety factor doing its job. @Boeing can take a bow.

Espectacular 😍
This Apollo 17 photo (AS17-146-22386) taken by mission commander Gene Cernan is particularly interesting, not because there are UAPs or UFOs in it but because we can see the LRV with Jack Schmitt at it and then waaaaaay in the distance, the LM is just a tiny little point of gold.

It's vital that ESA ensures this mission is recognized for what it is: an ESA rover 🇪🇺 🤖 So, please stand your ground on the branding. This is an ESA rover with NASA support, not a NASA mission. Don't let the credit slip away! 😉
Our Mars rover mission Rosalind Franklin is scheduled to be launched in 2028, with the support of @NASA. It will be the first ever to drill up to two metres below the Red Planet's surface, searching for signs of past or present life on Mars 🔴 go.nasa.gov/4vAIeX1

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

Se habla mucho de Artemis II y su sobrevuelo a la Luna. Una nave que también es europea, que no se nos olvide. Sin embargo, decidieron ir con una tripulación 100% norteamericana 🇪🇺🚀 👀
