Part Three looking like it’s roughly 40% Messiah, 20% Children of Dune, and 40% Denis doing whatever the fuck he wants.

I do wish film was a bit easier to develop. Would def like to get back into it instead of just holding onto my DSLR.

Have thought a lot about this excerpt from Bolano's 2666 where Amalfinato unknowingly begins his descent into madness as his anxiety sets in over his daughter. The city they live in, San Teresa, has cases of femicide ranging in the 100's.

The book before this, deals with 4 European academics who are on the hunt of this German author as they specialize on his works. It's written in a way where their lives seem fairly oblivious to everything surrounding them, and all of it is fairly disposable.

Then you get to book 2 and Amalfinato, who is going crazy due to constant worry of what may happen to his daughter. His power has limits sadly. 2666 is an honest take on the cruelty of modernity, where some are oblivious while there is so much suffering elsewhere.

You better give him his wet food man, stop playing.

Not something I honestly expected and a decent sign. It beats the previous genocide denial, even if he avoided saying it outright.

Keep coming back to this bit from Sh. Ibrahim Osi Efa where he hits on the importance of doing good to wake your heart up as that is what sets the road for sincerity.

What does a real Soviet apartment look like? 🇷🇺🏠 A Russian girl shows her grandma’s apartment: a tiny kitchen, two fridges, a rotary phone and even a carpet on the floor.

Them historical K-Dramas really keep they foot on the Japanese necks. Those animes might be cute but they gonna always remind you them folks were genociding colonizers every damn time.
