One of my favorite stories to come out of North Alabama is @PG_Taye!
A guy who has done things the right way at every turn and will have fans for life in the Shoals. Can’t wait to buy his jersey!

Coming from the Division II ranks to North Alabama in 2024 proved to be a championship decision for Taye Fields.
Two years later, the former Lion standout is neighbors with LeBron James in an NBA locker room.

The comeback before victory brought to you by Reese Ricketts🤩
The reigning UAC Player of the Week was responsible for all nine of the Lions final points!

Memorable @UNAAthletics comebacks I’ve been blessed to broadcast:
2016: Harlie Barkley game-winning hit in NCAA Super Regional to propel UNA softball to national championship.
2018: UNA football win vs. Southern Utah in first ever DI win. Christian Lopez to Dexter Boykin for the game-winner in final seconds.
2019: Women’s hoops down 10 to JU on road with 2 minutes left. Emma Wallen hits 3 while being fouled to win it.
2024: KJ Johnson half court buzzer beater in ASUN quarterfinals to beat Lipscomb (note: for some reason the stats credited it as a 2. They never changed it.)
2026: UNA Volleyball down 10-3 in fifth set. Reese Ricketts 7 kills and 2 blocks to score UNA’s final 9 points to win it.
Legacy game for Reese Ricketts! All-time great comeback for @UNA_Volleyball down 10-3 in 5th set! Relive it with our @RoarLionsProd postgame show!

All the talk of postseason broadcasting…@IngramRadio is putting on a clinic each game. I’ve listened to radio every game with an open notepad to learn and get better. It’s top tier.
We need more personality in booths. Less Joe Buck impersonations and more life. Let’s have some fun as we watch these games!

Loved hearing what @BrentDearmon @c_wright74 and @JyheamIngram had to say after this. Two local guys that love UNA and stayed for this moment!
What a night for the University of North Alabama as the Lions opened Bank Independent Stadium with a 38-20 win, led by another strong performance from freshman Xavier Johnson. UNA improves to 2-2 and will be back at home next week!

The community and people have always been what makes UNA so special. I’ve been going to @UNAFootball games for a long time and I don’t know that I’ve ever felt that much pride and emotion during a game before.
What a night. This has been talked about for a long time and we finally got to live it. It was everything I ever dreamed it would be. It was a perfect night to break in Bobby Wallace Field at Bank Independent Stadium.
I’m proud of my teammates for the work they put in to make it happen. I’m proud of my crew for pulling off everything that we did.
One of the best nights of work I’ve ever had.

And how about the first pass completion in Bank Independent Stadium…a @JacobTucker5 to @bryanneece connection as called by @gyvanhammons
