100 candidats pour 1 poste ? «On crée 99 postes !»
The event was phenomenal, greatly curated invitee list, amazing organization in a beautiful place and thoughtful conversations all around. Thanks for the invite team!
We invited 100 founders and investors to a gathering in the Alps. In their room, they found a newspaper dated September 16, 2036: some headlines read exactly as expected. Others seemed impossible, yet somehow they had happened.
We hiked between mountain debate camps, pressure-testing today's consensus beliefs, then ran policy creation / simulation sessions to come up with strategies that competing futures would demand. This was, The Counterfactual.
Thank you to our co-hosts @hanna_haya, @AndrejHenkler and Fadwa Ouardani (Leblon Capital), and to everyone who participated.
As an avid @davidsenra listener, I was glad to see my wife’s partner at Corient @MacalpineKurt on the show 🎧
Why a $525B wealth manager put his headquarters in Miami:
“If you think about it with a totally clean slate, where do you want the headquarters for the business ultimately to be? I picked Miami.”
“I think we're still in the early days of what we'll see in South Florida.”
“We were by no means a pioneer of moving to Miami. But we were a little bit early relative to the flood of movement that’s happened on the back of us.”

In a truly French fashion a lazy writer fooling self-centered intelligentsia will have done more for an aha-moment about the capabilities of AI than politicians gesticulating around Mistral and sovereign AI

It’s ALL about the people! @KaikoData just celebrated its strategic round at the @Nasdaq Tower. Above all things, it was a celebration of everyone who helped build Kaiko since 2014. Colleagues, partners, angels, investors, board members, and clients: THANK YOU!

The left is on a project to enforce equality, despite biology and markets.
The goal of equality gives claim to the moral high ground, but contradicting biology and markets requires censorship and violence, which makes the whole project immoral.
A mentor of mine says that the first quality people boast about unprompted, they often lack the most
Intelligence is getting cheap.
Courage isn’t.
The scarcest input in the AI era may simply be people willing to act.

Having a baby is like a successful venture portfolio: 90% of the experience is brutal, but the remaining 10% generates the 100x+ returns that more than compensate for everything else.
