The whole point of this discussion is that “building software” soon looks very different from today. The same way that “using a computer” is using a smartphone now.
the "SaaS is dead" crowd is actually "my indie hacker SaaS for other indie hackers is dead" crowd. this should be plainly obvious to anyone who's users aren't terminally online X users. SaaS is in a boom right now. you only need to speak to the average person, let alone an actual user - to know 99% are not building "personal software".

What does pair programming even look like these days? You sit with another human and discuss prompts, or what?

Ladies and gentlemen! Slow. Down. The. Frontier. Tuesday edition.
GPT-6.1 Sol: near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price. It’s the most cost-efficient model for its performance available today.

Just a few hours out, so I cannot really comment on how it compares to 4.6. Also, I don’t really trust these benchmarks. How does it compare to Fable and Astra, subjectively? Anyone using all three as daily drivers? For me, grok found more things on reviews than Astra.
Grok 4.7 is here. It's a notable improvement over Grok 4.6 at the same price and speed.

Stelvio started with API gateway v1 (RestApi) I built cors and auth for it later took a while but v0.10 has HttpApi (api gateway v2) simpler and cheaper. 7 lines of python -> 30 aws resources, done the way aws recommends much less to get wrong for you and your agent

Want to learn more about Stelvio, our framework to deploy Python to AWS with ease? My #cyc26 talk is only on their YT channel (link below)
Stelvio 0.10 is out. Tenth release. Still one idea: ship Python to AWS in minutes, not YAML. New in 0.10: • HttpApi + WebSocket APIs • VPC, in Python • Smarter customize (callables + real defaults) No new language. No console archaeology. Link resources, get IAM for free.

Huberman's "Protocols" book finally drops tomorrow, after being delayed for more than a year. Is it AI psychosis to think an AI could research your specific needs and build a protocol around a particular optimization goal? Feels like there should be a skill for that
