Octavio Dotel played for 13 major league teams over his historic career, and became one of a few players to win both a World Series and World Baseball Classic with the Detroit Tigers and Dominican national team. We send our love to his family, union brothers and fans.

One hundred years & one month ago, John Montgomery "Monte" Ward, the founder of the first-ever union of professional baseball players and the first league owned & operated by players themselves, died at the age of 65. Modern baseball & the workers movement stand on his shoulders.
