David Attenborough is not an animal rights activist at all. He is more of an environmentalist/conservationist type. It’s a different psychology. He’s been decent on this issue but I have a very low bar.
As far as animal rights activists go vegans are by far the most polite.
Meat eaters will threaten to kill you if you cause an animal they find cute mild distress.

If they are that broke they could probably eat lentils and flatbread or rice. Nothing is cheaper and it’s probably one of my all time favorite foods.

I’m arguing against this point.
She’s saying feeding cats vegan is forcing human morals on them.
I’m saying that’s a nonsensical point.
If me and you agree then great. I was under the impression you were on her side of this argument.

If you’re not narrow minded watch this short clip from David Attenborough explaining how what you just said is wrong.

Have you read the literature? I can send you the latest meta analysis. It’s not 30 years away.
Also, read this AI summary(not a reliable source IK but what it’s saying here is true) and then look at two mainstream brands and notice they use same supplements
This is probably gonna be my last post on this topic because people don’t have the cognitive capacity to follow the conversation.
But no vegan supports harming cats. The vegan position is that we should use technology to create a meat free alternative thats proven healthy.

Killing is the complete annihilation of a sentient being and shouldn’t be done unless there is no other option.
Be kind.

Nobody disagrees on that.
It’s not clear modern science hasn’t solved issues like taurine and methionine.
You can say these studies are lying but as we get more and more it will be harder to say they are all lying and the taurine in vegan cat food is fake.

That’s a methionine issue. Plants are low in methionine. This causes high ph. That’s causes many issues in cats. Companies add back in methionine to lower ph.
Look at the methionine in these two non vegan brands.

I asked a better question

To be fair it’s possible it’s also being done for the animals being slaughtered comfort and not just the “owners”
Important to remember there are more than 2 parties involved
