Lucasfilm has finally given permission to artists to start posting their Season 1 concept artwork for Young Jedi Adventures! Early on, I did some character design for the show, and designing the kitten version of the Loth/Tooka cat was one of my all time favorite assignments!

I don't think people realize how incredible it is that a movie rendered in nearly real-time in free software on a single computer just won the Oscar for best animated film. If there was ever any proof you don't need AI, this is it.

As a former #DreamWorks employee, this is wildly tone deaf. NBCUniversal forced DWA to cut its staff by the hundreds & outsource to studios in other countries. Maybe the execs are happy, but def not the workers.
And the free food was way better when DWA wasn't owned by NBCU.
Dreamworks is back in action morale-wise, between #KungFuPanda4 and #TheWildRobot. Even when times got lean, one perk has never gone away: complimentary breakfasts and lunches daily. It's on THR's list of 25 best places to work in L.A. thr.cm/p7ulzLZ

The phasing out of DVDs / rise of streaming culture is robbing us of all of the behind the scenes and bloopers footage. These things inspired A LOT of us to go into the arts and pursue working in the entertainment industry in any capacity.

Seems like an extremely stupid move considering consumers deeply dislike GenAi, all the ongoing lawsuits concerning copyright infringement and how much it negatively impacts the environment. But guess execs are just jumping in to the hype, consequences be damned 🤷🏻♀️
Disney will reportedly announce a huge AI initiative that will “transform its creative output” with a focus on post-production and visual effects.
AI will also be integrated into Disney’s parks & experiences business in some way.
