Cooper Flagg’s game on Monday made waves nationally…great stuff on the history, impact and where we go from here…check it out below before Mavs-OKC tonight:
Mentioned this yesterday on Take Dat Wit You with @bdameris, Cooper’s 32 point opener came with the Mavs down by a lot for much of the game, Friday he was clearly on his way to a big numbers and got injured on a flagrant foul. Monday night felt almost like his real chance to put on blast here’s what I’ve got in store for year 2.
Some highlights of his 29P/6R/11A/5S/3B in Miami from Monday night’s MavsTV broadcast here. 👇
YouTube version of our pod avail below too
And we’ll see what he does tonight vs OKC (note game time is 8:30 for our broadcast)

Whose team is it: Kyrie Irving or Cooper Flagg?
@bdameris tells @OThankKevin and @inthemageors that while the franchise's long-term future is built around Flagg, Irving's championship experience and respect in the locker room remain invaluable

Get ready for tipoff tonight of the Mavs season with a primer on a busy summer, the blueprint to success and what to expect from this year’s team…
The Mavericks entered a crucial offseason with a new brain trust, limited assets, and a mandate to establish a culture of winning around Cooper Flagg. That responsibility falls to president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri, who has been busy since his hiring in May. Ujiri’s first move was appointing Mike Schmitz as general manager. The Mavericks enter 2026–27 younger, more athletic, physical, longer, more skilled, more versatile, and better equipped to shoot and space the floor. Here's why, and what the team's next iteration looks like from @bdameris. dmagazine.com/sports/2026/10…
