The LotR show would be 40x better if I could see any of it.

Accidentally got my wife into DBZ and now we're halfway through the Majin Buu arc and she doesn't want to stop. I'm afraid she'll make us watch Super. Plz send help.

I somehow managed to take a picture of Shibuya Crossing that made it look totally empty. It was very much not empty. 😂

Slay the Spire board game has been… pretty darn fun so far.

Inkbound hit 1.0 today! store.steampowered.com/app/1… I've been doing engineering on it for a long while now. Super proud of what the team has accomplished.

Modern Square is great at writing characters & their arcs, and absolutely terrible at long-form stories and endings.

Is this platform still useful for marketing, networking, or... anything? It's starting to feel a little hollow here, but maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

I felt a lot of cringe when I saw the open world cruft in FF7. So I just... skipped most of it, and the game is 100% enjoyable and playable without it. I'm on chapter 10 and have yet to feel underpowered.

We all agree that the Shyamalan version of Avatar was better, right?

It is a weird time we live in when a Yakuza game is scratching the JRPG itch better than virtually all the studios that specialize in JRPGs.

For funsies I've been hacking on an archetype-based ECS with memory-optimized data stores. Do I need this? Hello no. None of my indie games have performance needs that necessitate it. This is over-engineering at its most indulgent and I love it.

One thing you miss when you're working outside the structure of an established game engine: reliable guids. I've been avoiding implementing my own meta-info management system, because it's not a "fun" problem. But deferring to file names/raw strings in code is... not great.

Naked Attraction calls its contestants Singletons and the software engineer in me is… screaming. Please don’t judge me for all the valid reasons contained in that sentence.

Between Duolingo, WaniKani, and Genki, I have all the tools I need to feel really frustrated learning Japanese.

Not me over here researching the entire safety record of the plane type I'm taking to Japan in May because I've never flown that long and planes give me anxiety in general.
