You will see me and our evening guestโa stray cat who has decided our tent is his nightly sanctuary.
But mostly, if you look at us, you will see that we are smiling.
Living in a tent changes almost everything about your daily routine, but it cannot touch your core. It cannot silence our complete humanity.
We live in a reality where suffering and laughter exist in the exact same breath. We mourn, we worry, we scramble for the basics of survivalโand we burst into uncontrollable laughter. To laugh is not to forget our pain; it is the ultimate proof that we are still entirely alive.
They can displace our walls, but they cannot displace our joy. This tent is a shelter from the sky, but our love for one another is the real shelter.
