Lots of fear around CapEx and investment cycles. But there is a reason humans are naturally bad investors. It takes FOREVER to make things work. Some really good examples that I have invested in and had to ride the volatility: 1) $AMZN - when Amazon decided to buy planes and trucks and own their own warehouses, the markets hated them. All they saw was a waste of money. But $AMZN retail is on its way to being a $1 Trillion revenue platform. 2) $TSLA - I struggled holding $TSLA because I was a younger investor then. It really made my stomach churn. But I saw the vision. They owned the electric car, they owned the charging station, they own residential charging, and they owned the software. But the markets hated the investments, until they didn't. Both eventually passed $1T market caps. This AI buildout is no different. Wall Street is so bad at investments sometimes it's crazy.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a good Halloween weekend! I don't expect $GOOG and $AMZN to bounce back right away. But I think people should give them credit for two things: 1) Both of these services are super sticky. Once I am in the ecosystem, I don't care about using another online shopping service, I don't care about using another email service, I don't care about using another maps service. In fact, I get super annoyed when my workplaces make me use Outlook, or I buy something from an online store and I just have to wait for an unknown amount of time to get it to my house. Sticky services matter. Things that have staying power matter. Did you know $COST is 43 years old, and WMT is 64 years old? All you had to do was buy and hold and not worry. $GOOG and $AMZN are the same. Part 2 tomorrow.

Red days are for shopping. Cost average below $50. If $HPE goes below $50, I'll have to decide to sell and buy in lower or just hold. The round trip is almost full, volatility is just part of the game. Long $HPE, 4900 shares now. Still 🔴 but 🟢

Being a physician and loving finance, one of the big mottos in our house is health is wealth. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Invest in the market and invest in yourself. I use a Whoop. But honestly, Fitbit, Amazfit, Garmin, Apple Watch, they all work. Start with sleep and activity. Do the basics right.

Good morning and happy Sunday! We had a great Halloween, the kids had a crazy candy haul. We let them keep about 10 pieces each. We kept a few for ourselves. What do you all do with the extra? We might try to give it away, and if it really comes to it, just throw it away. And for the stock and candy/snack lovers, $HSY The Hershey Company is at a 5 year low. $MDLZ Mondelez is the better snack play if you're into these kinds of stocks. Have a great day!

Learned a new term today in the stock world. A 200 week moving average. Can't figure out how useful it is, because most stocks are significantly more valuable today than 4 years ago. Bt I guess some stocks hover around there. $SBUX, $PEP, $ADBE all sitting close to 200 wma. Anyone else use this metric? I'm a long term investor so I found it interesting.

Happy Saturday! Inad my first viral post as an X user this week, it was pretty cool. 80k organic views in a day. I'm not honestly sure why the Google Daily Use post resonated with people and caught hold of the algorithm wave. But it was cool. I wish someone had taught me patience, time, good companies, concentration, and vision when I first started investing. That's why I post now. I made so many small bets in $AAPL, $TSLA, $SHOP, and others that I am very comfortable. But I'm not retired. And with the runs these companies went on, I should be. That happened because I traded. Got scared of the drawdowns. Sold and bought back. Didn't concentrate enough. That's why I have $250k in $HPE. Good company, initial break out in place after 30, hovering nicely in the $50s, going through the ups and downs of the market, but still fairly valued. This one is just a matter of time. But like I said, I'm comfortable, I have fun with my family, I work for the purpose and not the paycheck. Plus, life is long. So lets keep learning together.

+$20,000 into $AMZN today Markets can scare you, and fear is the best time to buy. When I order anything online, it's $AMZN first, then other websites When someone rings the doorbell to our house, it's $AMZN Half of my shopping trips go to Whole Foods aka $AMZN And if we can't make it to the grocery store, who delivers our groceries? $AMZN When my kids ask AI a question, it's Alexa, aka $AMZN My main credit card is the Prime Visa, that gives me cash back to buy the things our house needs on $AMZN Do I really use Prime Video or Prime Music - occasionally, on our Echo Show by $AMZN When you see delivery people in your neighborhood, chances are its a food delivery, or $AMZN The ecosystem is strong, and clearly AWS is a whole different story. Don't make this harder than it needs to be. Noise can be confusing.

Why do I invest? I invest to become a better husband. I want to be present. I want to listen and understand and support my wife. I want to keep on growing in my outlooks and experiences with my wife and family. I want to go for walks and bike rides with my wife, just for fun. I want to hear about her day, her thoughts, her plans. I don't want to worry about money and mortgages and bills. I don't want to worry about restaurants and clothing and theme parks. Investing gives us a safety net. It gives us options. It gives us time to spend together. We don't travel first class. We don't take a ton of trips. But we do enough of the fun things, and enough for the relaxing things, and enjoy life is special ways that money does buy. We decide how much to work. We decide how much to relax. We do all this together. We hang out a lot, and we have fun doing it. Time is the most valuable, not money. We can do all this because we invest. We can even take some risks because of investment success. Investing has made me a better husband.

I also feel bad for $RDDT, but I am not surprised. It's nice to read some opinions and thoughts on products because it's hard with Amazon reviews to get a full idea. And plus the wide variety of topics was pleasant. But you can't make any real life moves from reading Reddit. And now that it barely pops up on my Google searches, I have to actively go to the site. If I had to guess, it probably follows $PINS

$INTC ran from $20 to $130 from Aug 2025 to June 2026. Falling back to $70 is probably appropriate. Sad, but not crazy...and still shocked that PC news even matters.

The stock market is a human creation driven by emotion, it's the longest story ever told. The confusion is strong this year. Keep calm. Protect your hard earned money. Know what you are investing in. It's rough seas right now.

Big picture view for news this week: - $AMZN and $GOOG have high capex spends penciled in -Anthropic has lots of cash, will spend on capex - $INTC data center and Foundry play is 👍, PCs were a fail - $SNDK had another huge quarter because of data center No matter how red things get, all that money doesn't disappear. My sleeper pick is $HPE. Everything is still intact and printing.

$HPE taking a hit from $INTC earnings. $INTC big miss is in PCs. That honestly makes sense. No one upgrades their PCs on the regular. It's just a productivity tool, it doesn't need updating like a phone does. But the $INTC data center and foundry play was a winner. It actually had positive earnings. $HPE is a data center/server/sovereign AI pick. $HPQ is a PC play. $HPE just catching strays on intense AH reactions.

Always do what's best for your situation. Hard earned money is real. But the core business is solid. $HPE is not PCs
