I saw a man in a restaurant today with a hat that said “The Hoe is just as bad as Joe.” Sir, I just want to remind you: Kamala Harris won’t see your sexism. But your two young daughters sitting across from you certainly do.

“horror movies this year have been so weird surrounding birth!!” hmm i wonder what major historical event could’ve happened rather recently that would inspire artists to put birthing something evil without a choice to be reflected in art

the Haitian thing is such an old school blood libel that it feels like a noticeable escalation. like Sartre described in his essay on antisemitism they know they’re lying and they’re enjoying it.

We organize with Haitian-origin farm workers in NY. They’re as American as the apple pie their work makes possible, but right wing racists are spreading dehumanizing lies. Haitians are not eating pets. They’re feeding America. The anti-Haitian bigotry we’re seeing is repulsive.

Pornhub is deleting videos with 'sleep/sleeping' in the title and now sends a warning message about how the content is illegal/nonconsensual when people search for sleeping videos Thank you to Gisele Pelicot and every woman who's fought to make this world a safer place for women
Gisele Pelicot, whose husband drugged her and allowed different men to rape her over the course of 10 years, is holding a public trial and allowing her name to be published, even though she didn't have to. Her husband wished for a private trial, which would have allowed their names to remain anonymous, but she wanted to shame the men who have raped her and hold them responsible publicly for what they've done. She told the court that she hopes her testimony might help spare other women from similar ordeals. She said she pushed for the trial in open court in solidarity with other women who go unrecognized as victims of sexual crimes. Her strength is so unbelievable.

The fact that she waived her right to have a closed trial so that ALL those men could be named publicly must never be underestimated. She’s helped/protected so many more women.
This husband rape circle case in France is soul destroying to follow. My god.

"Not all men" - but so many men helped Gisele Pelicot's husband: The 73 men who came to her house and raped her. The 3 men who left - and didn't call the police. The thousands of men who saw the ads on the website - and didn't call the police. theguardian.com/world/articl…

Walz: They talk about small government. Small enough to be in your bedroom, small enough to be in your exam room, small enough to be in your library telling you the things you should make decisions about.

Since the Taliban tried to silence us, we’ve raised our voices in defiance, singing for freedom and equality. We refuse to be erased. I call on all women around the world to stand with us in solidarity. Join us in this fight for freedom, justice.Together we are unstoppable.

Women in Afghanistan are being obliterated—no voice, no face, no existence. The Taliban’s latest decrees are nothing short of barbaric: women banned from singing, reciting poetry, or even speaking aloud in public. Their faces and bodies must hidden from the world. This isn’t just an Afghanistan tragedy; it is a stain on the global conscience, brought about by our failure to act.

I remember the time when I gave birth to my daughter. They had to keep me in the hospital for 10 days because I wasn’t feeling well. Every time I tried to stand up, I fainted. At one point, I even stopped breathing, according to my husband. He panicked and called a friend who was a cardiologist. The friend’s response was, “You know, sometimes our wives just want attention because they’re going through a hard time.” My husband got angry and insisted that someone be sent to check on me. When the resident came, my husband simply said, “Just watch.” He helped me stand up, and I don’t remember what happened next. When I regained consciousness, I saw a room full of doctors around me, all in a panic because I had stopped breathing again. That’s when they realized it wasn’t just an “attention-seeking” move. Why am I telling you this? I’m not sure—maybe because I feel that many women, especially those with chronic and complicated illnesses, have had similar experiences. If you want to share yours, quote this with #MedicalMisogyny.
