We have now had 4 months with our @byd #byddolphin and finally we have found a fault. On the other hand I have had my new @ford #transit for 2 months and have run out of fingers and toes to count the faults on!! #dontbuyford.

@ford Van goes in for various recall updates and exchange parts (less than 6 mths old) including parts to sliding door mechanism and comes back with a broken sliding door handle. @ford deny responsibility as they don’t know if they did the damage.

End of 1st week #alentejo we’ve managed 1 Rufous bush Chat, 10 Roller, 2 Spanish Imperial + 1 Golden Eagle, 1 Black Vulture, 4 Griffons, many Lesser Kestrel, 2 White-rumped Swift, flocks of over 100 Bee-eater, a Great Bustard and various Golden Oriole and Azure-winged Magpies.

Years spent looking for this species along coast east of Malaga, many enjoyable hours sifting through Pallid+Alpine Swifts only to have 1 appear right in front of us, the only Swift in sight!!! Now to track down its nest site, sure it was feeding young. #whiterumpedswift

What an afternoon! 2 target species located with zero effort. First was this Mantis that greeted us on the front door fame of our new place in #Portugal #alentejo and then, sat looking out of the window of our accommodation for the next 3 nights a #Whiterumpedswift flys by!! 1/2

A day spent in the mountains in Eastern Madeira with @HTR_Madeira produced the 2 target species of #MadeiraFirecrest and #TrocazPigeon. Not often we have a 2 tick day in Europe these days.

Seawatch last night produced 4 Corys Shearwater and a colour changing super yacht. Today has mainly been butterflies. Monarchs are common along with Long-tailed Blue, Painted Lady, Peacock and a Clouded yellow #madeirabirds #madeira
