I have been in this compound for about 4 months now and I noticed a man coming to sit with my landlady every evening. At first I thought it was her husband because of how close they were, until I asked my neighbor and he told me they're just family friends. But they seemed really really close and I haven't seen my Landlady's husband here for once but they say she's married.
I asked about this man's family and I was told they're abroad.
Yesterday evening while I was fetching water at night, I saw landlady resting her head on his shoulders and the moment they saw me they adjusted. I know what I saw and it's not family friends thing o

Some sisters-in-law can humble you in your own house. 😭😂
My sister-in-laws came around to visit their mum, who came to visit us two weeks ago. I made them toasted bread and served them this tea, and they started complaining that since I knew they were coming, I should have bought the big tins of Milo and Peak Milk.
So, one sachet of Milo each and one sachet of Peak Milk each cannot be enough for you people to drink tea for breakfast? Because you visited your brother’s house, I should bring out a full carton of Milo and Peak Milk just to serve you breakfast?
Must someone spend beyond their means just to satisfy their in-laws?
Mummies, please tell me the truth: When your in-laws visit, are you expected to provide everything they demand, or should they manage what is available in the house? 🤔

Before I got married, I took a girl out on our 3rd date. A nice restaurant in Asaba.
While she went to the restroom, I quietly paid the bill. ₦28,700.
When she came back, the waiter told her it had been settled.
She looked at me and said, "Why did you pay?"
"I invited you na."
"Give me your account number."
"No, it's fine."
"I don't like owing anybody," she said, and picked up her bag.
I thought that was the end of it.
The next morning at 6am, my phone beeped. ₦14,350 sent to my phone number on Opay. Description: "Don't ever do that again."
I replied, "Ok."
She replied, "Good. Saturday?"
I never replied.
Till today, I still can't tell if I ran from a controlling woman or from a woman who just refused to owe anybody.
