🚨Cancer patients have medical debt in collections that lasts for years after diagnosis/treatment despite >95% insurance coverage.
After years of analysis, we report in @JAMAOnc on debt, collections, bankruptcy, & credit scores in >74k control-matched patients over 10 years.
Despite high insurance coverage rates, individuals diagnosed with #cancer in Massachusetts experienced increases in medical debt, with those having bladder and colorectal cancer facing additional increases. ja.ma/3UKRUxb @NishantUppal7
