after almost 5 years, my time at @JupiterExchange has come to an end. i was lucky enough to join when Jupiter was barely a month old. i started out doing mostly ops stuff: managing the community on Discord, gathering user feedback, running campaigns, writing tweets. then slowly i got to talk to partners about integrations and trying to make Jupiter the default way to swap across Solana. no two months looked the same, and i’m thankful for every bit of it. i’m grateful to have played a small part in so many of the integrations Jupiter has today, from wallets and apps all the way to helping shape the plans for enterprise swap integrations. if you’ve ever swapped through Jupiter inside your favourite wallet or app, there’s a good chance i was part of the conversation. in the early days, i was lucky enough to be flying around to Hacker Houses, running workshops and panels, and repping Jupiter around the world. easily some of the most fun i’ve had in this industry. then came Jupiter Mobile. i got to be there from the acquisition of Ultimate Wallet, through the very first version, all the way to seeing it in everyone’s pocket today. so thankful i got to be part of that. and for the past 15 months, i got to work closely with @kashdhanda across multiple projects. we worked with the Fluid team on Jupiter Lend, then with Ethena on JupUSD and a dedicated Ethena market within Jupiter Lend. some of my fondest memories came from that stretch, and it’s where i learnt the most. but honestly, the work was great. the people were better. i’ve made some of the best friends i could ever ask for here, and the amount of love i’ve felt from my colleagues and friends is what makes leaving so hard. thank you, @sssionggg, for believing in me and giving me a chance. thank you, @weremeow, for the vision that kept us all going. thank you, @kashdhanda, for everything you taught me and all the sleepless brainstorming sessions. and thank you, @wassielawyer and @0xSoju, for being such good friends through it all. and thank you to all the ecosystem partners and friends i’ve met at Hacker Houses, Breakpoint, and countless conferences around the world. these 5 years wouldn’t have been the same without you guys. i’ve been running at 120% for the past few years, so it’s time to take a short break, recharge, and figure out what comes next.

just got back from my first non-work china trip. guangzhou, foshan, shenzhen, the greater bay area. we saw basically everything manufacturing, but at china scale: - an LED factory where the pick and place machines move faster than you can blink - a detergent factory and its lab - the inside story of one of the biggest furniture factories - a mattress machine manufacturer - a robot startup with humanoids on the bench - hardware and software incubators, plus a bunch of networking sessions - then the 140th canton fair. a whole hall just for industrial automation, flying taxis on display, service robots everywhere. china surprises me in a new way every time i go but the thing i appreciate most is the trip-mates. some of the most amazing builders, operators and investors i've met, and now i get to call them friends really thankful i made it.

Btw for those who can speak Mandarin, it helps so much more. I got to hang out with some local business owners much better. So fortunate to have grown up learning Mandarin. Some of my European friends are interested in learning Mandarin after this trip.

4/ also hacked on a little side project for a hackathon (just submitted), just for fun. if it wins something, maybe it turns into something real. if not, I’ll probably open source it for anyone who wants to play with it.

Appreciate the kind words my friend. Enjoy every single bit of our late night conversations. Give me a call whenever you're in town.
Ben is prob the most important archetype of team member every startup needs but there’s no job description for - the multi-classed fixer. Guy does product, ops, BD, partnerships. Whatever the company needs, Ben is the Swiss Army knife that never fails. I’ve seen him navigate serious high stakes products like jUSD and Lend and more whimsical degen early stage products, all with the same capability and focus. In the chaos of large organisations - things can get lost but if Bens is on it, I know things will move. Above all, Ben is a man of high integrity and deals with all with the same sincerity and an open palm, regardless of their background or status. I’m proud to call him my friend. Honestly very very sad to see him go but happy for him that he’s finally getting a well deserved break. I look forward to working with him again one day.

some other things i got to be part of along the way: helping make Jupiter the default gateway into Solana: swaps, onramps, bridges being part of the early perps discussions that eventually led to one of Solana’s biggest products helping design and launch vote.jup.ag fun experiments like goatswap and pawnhub. the names alone probably tell you how much fun we had not everything made it into a changelog, but i’m glad i got to be there for so much of it

Jupiter Lend has grown into one of the largest lending venues on Solana within months of launch. Today, Ethena joins the platform with its own dedicated market. The Ethena market on @JupiterExchange is fully isolated from the existing Jupiter Lend deployment, and curated by @Bitwise who brings onchain asset management and risk oversight to support institutional participation in this Ethena market.

We just onboarded a multi-billion-dollar crypto asset manager to deploy an institutional-grade lending market. @Bitwise is now curating an @ethena market on Jupiter Lend. A turning point for on-chain lending 👇

been running this on solana: buy SPYx (on-chain S&P 500) collateralize → borrow JupUSD at 0.6% on @jup_lend deposit JupUSD → get JUICED at 5.58% loop JUICED → boost to 12.29% holding spy + xPoints + net yield on the borrow. not financial advice, just what's on my screen.
