A few months ago, we met with rangers from seven national parks @NigeriaParks in Abuja to begin Park-BON. Now, the network is officially in motion. Acoustic devices are heading into forests to capture the sounds of species often missed by visual surveys. smacon-africa.org/post/liste…

On #BatAppreciationDay, I admire two aspects about bats in Nigeria. First is the great work being done by @smaconbats to protect different species of these special animals in #Naija. Second is my videoclip👇 of a fraction of bat 🦇 population in my #university @TheGreatestIFE

Thrilled to have given my first campus talk last week at @LSU Museum of Natural Science, thanks to @PREAUX_FISH for the invite. What an engaging audience - biomechanics to assembly structure Plus, helping out with kids outreach made up for not seeing Mike the tiger. 🦇🐠🐀🗻

This adorable pangolin was playing peekaboo with our team at Cross River, but it's threat of extinction is not something we want to play peekaboo with. We are currently taking action for the species at Afi Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary. #WorldEndangeredSpeciesday #pangolin
