The naysayers are getting embarrassing. Every day, people are using AI to make incredible breakthroughs and answer some of the toughest questions around, like "what do I like about my child?"

I think United should consider an interim manager next. Just let everything calm down a bit.
Why not a former player? They would know the club inside out. It's got to be an advantage.
And if they do ok, why not give them the gig full time next summer?

Is that because they were truthfully reporting their financial situation? That’ll never catch on!
Replying to @lukeaaronmoore
Villa had to do it because you were fined a total of €22.5 million (£19.4 million) by UEFA in June 2026 for breaching European financial sustainability and squad cost ratio (SCR) regulations, rather than committing illegal corruption.
Villa exceeded UEFA's squad-cost-to-income limit (which dropped from 80% to 70%), driven primarily by a high wage-to-revenue proportion and substantial agent fees.
Like other clubs under financial pressure, Villa sold assets—including their women's team—to help balance books under prior rules.Villa faces a List A squad registration restriction for European competition, meaning they must maintain a positive transfer balance (selling more than they spend on new registrations) to add new players

Man United with one of the worst ownership combos: American capitalists piling debt onto the club and a right-wing British billionaire out of his depth.

This supercut is likely to make Trump VERY upset. The difference between Trump and Obama is on full display, and the contrast is absolutely devastating. Watch until the end...

The main thing to remember about Liam Gallagher's tweets is that they aren't serious.
🔴Ed Power: Liam Gallagher has accused Fontaines DC of ‘not being good enough’ to open for them despite releasing five dud-free albums while Oasis rack up a fortune as a nostalgia jukebox for Gen-Xers

🗣️ Nicky Butt on the Manchester City situation:
“The only reason I'd make them void is because, 20 years down the line, if you take the 2012 title off City and give it to Man United, it'll just say Man United in the history books. Nobody will talk about what happened.
“But if it's void, young kids will be asking, ‘Why's that void, Dad?’ And you'll say, ‘Because Man City cheated.’ It'll always be there in the history books.
“If they're found guilty, after all the appeals and the whole process, whether that takes a year, two years or however long, and those titles are taken away, they should always be remembered for it.
“Think about Ben Johnson, think about Lance Armstrong. All the cheats in sport. That never goes away. It's always there in the history books.”

For the second day running @itvnews investigation into Reform goes from strength to strength. Public Service Broadcasting at its best.
Warning: Distressing and graphic language
An undercover investigation inside Reform UK’s political operation has found senior party officials saying they have to “defend the indefensible” when dealing with accusations of racism against party figures, with Nigel Farage told he was “protecting” one Reform candidate from being sacked for allegedly racist views.
ITV Exposure gained unprecedented access to Reform’s Westminster headquarters, sending in an undercover reporter inside the party in January 2026, where she worked as a press officer. She secretly recorded conversations between Reform officials as they dealt with multiple accusations of racism by Reform councillors and candidates.
Reform UK told us: “Not all individuals covertly recorded by ITV are members of Reform UK. Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed.
“Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations.
“There is no room for racism in Reform UK. We always respect due process of investigations and whilst these are ongoing it would not be appropriate to comment on individual cases.”

The guy who founded Nike owns a movie studio that's lost money for almost 20 years straight. In two weeks it's going to lose a whole lot more, and he genuinely does not care.
Phil Knight is worth around $35 billion. He bought a small animation shop in Portland, renamed it Laika, put $180 million in before it released a single frame, and handed it to his son Travis to run. Travis directed Wildwood himself.
The losses are wild when you line them up. Missing Link cost $102 million and made $26.6 million worldwide. It won the Golden Globe for best animated film anyway. Any normal studio shuts down after a miss that size. Laika went and spent the next seven years building a 140-minute PG-13 stop-motion epic, the longest and most expensive thing they've ever tried.
And stop motion is brutal work. Animators move puppets by hand, 24 frames for every second of film. A good week gets you a few seconds of usable footage. That's why a Laika movie costs $100 million while CGI studios make theirs for a fraction, and why nobody else in Hollywood will touch the format at this scale.
So what is Laika, really? A patron deal, the same setup that got the Sistine Chapel painted. The Medici never asked Michelangelo to hit quarterly numbers, and Knight isn't asking Wildwood to open at $40 million.
Here's the part I love. Every other animated movie this year had to survive a studio balance sheet to get made. Wildwood just had to convince one 88-year-old man in Oregon that American stop motion shouldn't die.
So when the opening number comes in and the internet calls it a bomb, keep in mind the only number that's ever mattered at Laika is whether Phil Knight is still writing checks.
Laika’s ’WILDWOOD’ is early tracking to earn only $6M-$10M on its domestic opening weekend.
• Budget was of around $100M
• One of the lowest openings for an animated film in 2026

This is actually an odd one from Burnham, still
He says “if wrongdoing is established” - it has been established. This is the final award, even if an appeal is possible
NEW Downing Street issues fresh statement on Man City case in an attempt to clarify Andy Burnham's comments to @ChrisMasonBBC yesterday
A No 10 spokesperson said:
“As the Prime Minister made clear, the initial judgement is serious and there can’t be any suggestion that anyone is above the rules. He also stressed that it is an ongoing independent process. It is essential that it is allowed to run its course and the outcome respected.
“If wrongdoing is established, those responsible should face the appropriate consequences.“
