Sometimes things happen in life that knock you sideways Losing a dog is like losing a family member I know from the compassion you showed us, how many of you too have experienced the pain of loss and grief. My heart goes out to you Who would’ve thought a tweet can help heal?

Thank you all again for all of your messages, tweets, retweets, poems, paintings & phone calls Oh and the mountains of cakes & cards left at our door ❤️ All reminding us that we were never alone Your empathy and kindness still moves me to tears 🙏

This appeared on our TV screen the other day It made our hearts stop It’s been 6 years, 12 weeks and 1 day since Bertie went missing Not a day goes by without us thinking both of him & the people who reached out to our family ❤️

3 It has been a difficult 16 months, as it has for many people, but it feels right that now is the time to move on. Thank you again from all of us #RIPBertie

2 Given the credibility of this information, we would like to start to close this account down. The amount of help and support you have all given has been incredible, and we cannot thank you enough for all your messages and kind thoughts #RIPBertie

1 We have recently received some information that is credible concerning Bertie. It is that, sadly, it is probable that he may not have survived beyond the first day that he went missing #RIPBertie

Thank you to all of you .. our search for beautiful Bertie continues, as does the search for all those lost and stolen dogs out there With love from Siobhan Zeki and Lukas xxx #findbertie

In one of the toughest years we have all had for various reasons, our faith in humanity has been restored ❤️ We’ve felt so supported & protected by so many friends & people we have never even met. Thank you for your kindnesses #findbertie 🙏🙏

A year ago today, our Bertie went missing Thank you to every single person that has helped to try & find him. Whether it’s advice, shared stories, shared tears or the fight to find him, it has all helped us. Every single bit of kindness helps. Thank you all again 🙏 #findbertie

Thank you so much to everyone who has posted about the recent @SuffolkPolice raid. Our details have been lodged, and we await the police response. Any outcome will be posted here #findbertie 🍀🤞

Thank you everyone. Bertie is chipped so we will wait to hear from @SuffolkPolice for whether there is a neutered beige male Cockapoo amongst the recovered dogs #findbertie

💔

A man and his brown Cockapoo is missing, last seen in Hove, Sussex.

Latest update; The Telford Dog is not neutered and there is no chip He is being really well looked after & apparently has a really sweet personality (which makes it all the more heartbreaking) We really hope he gets to the right loving home quickly Thank you all #FindBertie 🙏🍀

We don’t think it’s Bertie from the photos after grooming .. but we are waiting to hear if they have managed to locate a chip #FindBertie
