Thank you! 👋❤️
So happy to read that Betsy de Thierry is being awarded an MBE for Services to Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Trauma Recovery as part of the King’s Birthday Honours. Congratulations!
Her books were recommended to me by a play therapist when I began my theraputic parenting journey several years ago. It made me understand my childs perspective of experiences and helped us tremendously.

@betsydet is helping us think through different types of helpful responses & supports for various types of trauma. What is needed for someone who has experienced single event trauma will differ for those who have experienced multiple, pervasive trauma. @fosteringnet @tfn_kathleen

Absolutely! We should be working together not competing for the small amount of grants. It’s madness as we each have unique skill set and purpose- we are all needed.

Anti-social behaviour, youth violence, school absenteeism, the mental health crisis, an overwhelmed NHS…all symptoms of one issue; the loss of community, belonging & hope. So, let’s invest in a new generation of early years & youth centres, & the work of local community groups!

As members of the Children & Young People's Mental Health Coalition we're standing with other orgs & backing @CentreforMH @CYPMentalHealth @savechildrenuk’s call for the Govt to deliver on its pledge of a child poverty strategy alongside a cross-government MH plan #ADualCrisis
Living in poverty has a devastating effect on children’s and parent’s mental health. New report from @CentreforMH @CYPMentalHealth @savechildrenuk sets out the actions Government must take to eradicate child poverty and boost mental health: cypmhc.org.uk/publications/a… #ADualCrisis
This is so deeply unfair and wrong. Totally gutting and could make a lasting negative impact in so many ways 🤦♀️

This is shocking...
This is what's happening in education right now...
We must do better. When did children get taken out of all decision-making?
We must put children back at the heart of education.
You may never know what someone has experienced. But when emotions come ‘from nowhere’ and the person seems overwhelmed in sadness, grief, fear, terror, overwhelm, shock or they are frozen and stuck- be kind to them. Our bodies store memories way deeper. We need to learn as humans
Congratulations Scotland! Incredible! 🏴
