Kilduff lays down the gauntlet.
Dundalk FC boss Ciarán Kilduff has challenged his Dundalk players to show him that they deserve to be at the club next season, following the Lilywhites rapid loss of form in the second half of the season.
Speaking to Gerry Malone after the weekend's draw in Sligo, which secured Dundalk's safety, Kilduff said:
"Some of those players have 13 days to convince me that they want to be here next season. I simply can't stand over what I saw tonight.
Anyone out there tonight, maybe with the exception of Ronan Teahan and Daryl have to convince me about them being here next season. We had 16 players out there tonight. I am not throwing them under the bus.
But I am furious with the players there tonight. I am also furious with myself. Yes, we are still a Premier Division Club. But we can do things a lot better."

Sligo Rovers held a second Special General Meeting (SGM) at the Clayton Hotel, Sligo, this evening, where members voted to confirm approval of the club’s proposed restructuring.
Following the near-unanimous vote in favour of the proposal at the first SGM on 24 September, members have now voted by a majority to formally approve the restructuring.
The club thanks all members who attended and participated in both meetings throughout this important process.
