i didn't even realise this discourse was happening, i've been uploading my fics INTO these archives. i want people to be able to have something to read while the site is down?? i don't care about not getting comments or kudos while this is happening, BUT-

im seeing a bunch of tweets like "it's weird that people have such huge archives of fics that arent theirs downloaded to share..." or "i hate that i'm seeing a copy of my fic being passed around outside of my control" and i think y'all need to touch some grass

not everyone is going to feel the same and THAT'S OKAY TOO!! if the writers don't want their work uploaded elsewhere, publicly, then that's their choice and it should be respected. and when the site is back, please all leave kudos and comments where you can for the writers!!
