I have a take on this no one is going to like, but this discourse starts by training a generation to see every villain as a flawed person with trauma we should root for. Older generations remember when Darth Vader was just a monster, younger ones don’t. There’s a direct line between this discourse and several popular horror media things happening right now. Sometimes it’s ok for a villain to be one just because.
The boat stuff in Jason Takes Manhattan is just as good as the NYC stuff and I'm sick of pretending like it's not.
This entire scene from this to the preacher has to be one of my favorite sequences in all of horror. Loomis with nothing to lose is tops.
I would love for someone who actually understands the court ruling to explain this new world to me. Are we going to have two separate Jasons running around, one with a sack on his head and the other with the terrible new hockey mask?
CRYSTAL LAKE showrunner Brad Caleb Kane has revealed his Season 2 wish list, which includes more Sack Head Jason, more carnage, and more classic Friday the 13th characters: bloody-disgusting.com/interv…
Alright horror fans, the last weekend before Halloween. What are we watching? So far this I’ve seen a live Rocky Horror performance, WNUF, and Clayface.

I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

I remember renting this as soon as it came out and being blown away. It's far more devastating revisiting it as an adult. Shot on film and all the more gorgeous for it, a lost art these days.
May (2002)
Despite its financial failure, it earned favorable reviews from critics.
It currently holds a 70% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and received high praise from notable critics, including a perfect score from Roger Ebert.
Over the years, May built a dedicated following through home video and streaming formats. It is widely celebrated today as a true cult classic and a premier example of early-2000s indie horror.
I would give anything to have this internet back.
Pour one out for the final Last Drive-in Halloween special. Will never forget the joy I felt seeing Joe Bob hit the airwaves again.
This Friday! It's final! It's the last Halloween special we'll ever do on Shudder! It's called JOE BOB'S HALLOWEEN HOUSE PARTY but it should have been called THE CANCELLATION THAT WOULDN'T DIE! 9pm Eastern/6 Pacific. Also on @AMCPlus. @kinky_horror
