As a SAC I had 60 papers in my batch before the reviews were released.
Two days after the rebuttals deadline there’s only 44 left 😳
16 papers withdrawn (27%) is a new record for me!

I serve as a SAC this year and I’m overseeing 60 papers. Only 3 have an average > 6.
As an AC or SAC, I usually want to accept too many papers and need to write a case of why my acceptance rate is slightly higher than the average.
This year might be different 😳

In my AC pile, never seen such low scores. Almost all my papers have at least one score recommending reject.
I feel like there is a mix of more inexperienced reviewers, and a "spiral of aggression", from people getting low scores as authors.
